Unlocked Galaxy Nexus Updated to 4.0.4

Updated: expanded post a bit.

Google recently finished pushing out the Android 4.0.4 system update to the unlocked, GSM/HSPA+ global variant of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The update provides mostly under-the-hood code tweaks. The bulk of other Galaxy Nexus variants have already been updated to 4.0.4.

The latest is 4.1

The purpose of this (4.0.4) is a workaround to bypass the "banhammer" from Apple.
Google mentioned Galaxy Nexus will be back next week.
The latest is 4.1, and that is promised for all Galaxy Nexus phones some time in "July".

But no, this update is many months overdue, and has nothing to do with the import ban. This is for existing phones - not new sales - and it does NOT remove the...
