Google today provided updates to a significant number of its Android applications. First, the Google Chrome browser has shed its beta tag and is now available as a 1.0 app for devices running Android 4.0 and up. Chrome allows users to sync their desktop bookmarks, tabs, and other settings to their Android smartphone. Other Google-developed apps seeing updates today include Google Play Movies (movie and TV purchasing), YouTube, Maps (offline caching of entire cities), Play Books, Street View, and Google Earth (3D rendering). The apps include bug fixes, new features, and other enhancements. They can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store.
