Google today released a significant update to the Google+ application for Android that closely mirrors the new design of the iOS app released several weeks ago. The revised app features a brand new user interface that is more visually immersive. Some of the new features included in Google+ for Android are the ability to initiate a handout from the main menu; support for ringing hangout notification; the ability to edit posts after they are published; and the ability to download photos from posts or Messenger conversations. The Messenger function will now suggest people that you may know based on contact and circle data. The app is free to download from the Google Play Store.
