Samsung today revealed its new lineup of phones planned for release in the U.S. this quarter:
- P207: World's first feature phone with true speech-to-text dictation capability; exclusive VoiceMode technology from VoiceSignal enables hands-free text messaging. Other features of this clamshell tri-band GSM phone include EDGE, dual TFT color displays, and instant messaging.
- A800: First 2-megapixel CDMA phone for U.S. Also features automatic speech dication input, sliding design, internal antenna, QVGA display, memory card slot, CCD camera with video capture and business card capture mode, and PictBridge direct photo printing.
- P777: Samsung's first EDGE phone for U.S. Tri-band GSM with sliding design, 1.3 megapixel camera, advanced video capture, 100 MB of memory, and stereo MP3 player.
- A890: Samsung's first EV-DO phone for U.S. Features 1.3 megapixel camera, video capture, streaming video playback, and advanced voice recognition including QuickPhrase, which allows users to create text messages by speaking predefined phrases.
...Which begs the question: Why not just talk to the person directly?
Maybe they're in a meeting and you're not. I've been in that situation before.
