HTC's Android 4.0 Timeline Filled In with More Dates
HTC recently updated its support site with information about the timing of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates for its Android smartphones. Based on the info, the bulk of Android 4.0 updates are scheduled to hit handsets between May and July, with all of them to be completed by August. Some of the U.S. devices include the Amaze 4G in May-June; Droid Incredible 2 by the end of August; EVO 3D in June-July; EVO Design 4G in June-July; Rezound in June-July; Rhyme in June-July; ThunderBolt in July-August; and the Vivid in May-June. HTC reminds customers that these dates are targets and partner and network testing, and approval processes for device updates can affect the exact timing.
Sony's Xperia X Series to Reach US In June
Sony today said it plans to bring its Xperia X range of handsets to the U.S. market beginning in June.
AT&T's LG G3 Reaches Stores July 11
AT&T today said its variant of the LG G3 will be available in stores starting July 11, with preorders starting July 8. AT&T is charging $199 for the G3 with a new contract, or $24.17 per month with AT&T Next 18, or $29 per month with AT&T Next 12 (no down payment required with the Next plans).
HTC Cuts the 10's Price By $100 for US Shoppers
HTC has dropped the price of the HTC 10 for the rest of the month. The phone now costs $599 when purchased from HTC's web site, a cut of $100.
Sprint to Begin Selling LG G3 July 18
