AT&T's LTE Network Goes Live in St. Louis
AT&T today announced that its LTE 4G network is now available to customers in the St. Louis metropolitan area. AT&T had already announced that St. Louis would receive LTE coverage, but hadn't provided a date when the service would be available. AT&T today also expanded the availability of LTE in New York City to Staten Island. Earlier this week, AT&T launched LTE in two markets in Indiana and one in Texas. The market expansion coincides with the launch of two new LTE-capable handsets, the Nokia Lumia 900 and the HTC Titan II.
More Carriers and Phone Makers Agree to Adopt Google's RCS-Based 'Android Messages' Service
Google today said more wireless network operators and handset manufacturers will use Android Messages, its RCS-based messaging service, as the default SMS/MMS tool on their phones. (Android Messages was previously known as Google Messenger.) Some of the features of RCS, which is a global standard, include group chat, high-resolution photo sharing, advanced calling features, and read receipts.

Sprint today announced several new milestones for its network. To start, HD Voice is now available to Sprint customers nationwide.
Sprint Says LTE Plus Now Available In New York City
Sprint today announced that its LTE Plus wireless service is available across all five boroughs of New York City. LTE Plus relies on Sprint's three LTE bands (800 MHz, 1900 MHz, 2.5 GHz) and carrier aggregation to improve capacity and speed.
T-Mobile Offers Progress Report On Wideband LTE Rollout
T-Mobile today said it has expanded the availability of Wideband LTE service to a total of 26 major U.S. cities and 120 small metro areas.
AT&T Fills In LTE Coverage Gaps
AT&T today said its LTE 4G network is now live in a handful of new markets, including Alpena, Mich.; Worthington, Minn.; Klamath Falls, La Grande, and Roseburg, Ore.; Altoona, Pa.; and Alice, Bay City, and El Campo, Texas. AT&T's LTE network reaches 280 million POPs and should cover 97% of all Americans by the end of the year.
