Sprint today announced the availability of a Sprint ID pack developed with the American Automobile Association. The AAA ID Pack includes a number of tools that travelers can use when on the road, including applications and web links to travel resources. The pack offers the TripTik Mobile app, which uses GPS to show nearby points of interest, such as AAA-rated hotels, gas stations, restaurants, and attractions. The Discounts App shows AAA members when they can receive AAA-based discounts. The Roadside app lets AAA members send assistance requests from their phone, and include details such as vehicle description, location, and problem, as well as seek out AAA-approved auto repair facilities. AAA members can also have activation fees waived and receive discounted monthly fees on Sprint wireless services. The AAA ID pack is available to select Android smartphones, and doesn't require AAA membership to install.
