Telus Launches World's First Fastap Phone

Canadian carrier Telus Mobility today announced the exclusive availability of the Fastap LG 6190, the world's first mobile phone with Fastap™ keypad technology from Digit Wireless. Fastap integrates text keys around a standard numeric phone keypad, making it faster and easier to send text and e-mail messages, and enter other data. The 6190 is a clamshell-style phone that also includes a VGA camera and integrated speakerphone.

Thanks for the coverage

fasttap looks like it could have a considerable and positive impact on the future of data communications and otherwise computing on small devices (like phones).

I can't wait to get a phone with fasttap myself.
After using predictive text for so long...not sure i want any keyboard type input...would mind an easier way to make my own words up for my dictionary...but im kinda hooked on predictive text..
