T-Mobile Offering New Mobile TV Content Packages
T-Mobile USA today announced the addition of two new content packages for its Motile TV product. The first package is called Playground TV and is aimed at providing age-appropriate content for children. The package includes live channels and on-demand episodes from shows such as Curious George, Dora the Explorer, and Sesame Street. The Urban Zone package includes content from BET, Rap Entertainment, R&B Jamz, and other similar stations. Both packages cost $4.99 per month for standard definition or $5.99 per month for high definition. Along with the new packages, T-Mobile is also offering a new Mobile TV widget that displays the latest information about the programs available.
Verizon Zero-Rates Its Fios Mobile Video App
Verizon Wireless today said the company's Fios home internet and television customers can stream an unlimited amount of live and recorded shows over LTE without impacting their monthly data allotment. Specifically, Fios customers can use the Fios Mobile app on their smartphones and tablets to watch 140 channels of live television, movies, and stored DVR content.
DirecTV Now's $35 Introductory Rate Goes Away Jan 9
AT&T will raise the price of its Go Big DirecTV Now package from the special, introductory rate of $35 per month to the standard $60 per month price early next month. "Any current DirecTV Now customers, and those who sign up before the promotion ends, will stay at the special price of $35 for 'Go Big' package," said the company in a statement provided to the Dallas Business Journal.
AT&T's Throttled Unlimited Plan Scores a DirecTV Discount
AT&T today announced a new promotion that gives its Unlimited Choice subscribers DirecTV Now for $10 per month. AT&T Unlimited Choice, which provides unlimited data at speeds up to 3Mbps and video streamed at standard definition, costs $60 per month with autopay and paperless billing.

T-Mobile today said baseball fans will be able to watch every regular season Major League Baseball game on their smartphones for free. T-Mobile has again partnered with MLB and is providing customers with access to a free year of MLB.TV Premium, which includes MLB.com At Bat Premium.
AT&T Debuts Wireless/DirecTV Bundles
AT&T today rolled out combined wireless and television packages that rely on its recent acquisition of DirecTV. The basic package includes four wireless lines with unlimited talk and text with 10 GB of shared data and HD television service with up to four receivers (DirecTV or U-verse) for a combined price of $200 per month.
Shouldn't add to data use when you pay
A lot of people will chew up their high speed data limits when using a service like this and then be stuck on 2G, or worse use it when roaming and be cut off from network data entirely for the duration of the billing cycle.
