Twitter Expanding Promoted Tweets on Mobile
Twitter today announced an expansion of its promoted tweets program on mobile devices. Building on the initial test that began several weeks ago, Twitter is offering advertisers more tools to target promoted tweets to mobile users that share similar interests with their existing followers. Twitter is also giving advertisers the option to target their campaigns specifically to devices running OS and Android. Users of Twitter on mobile devices should begin to see more promoted tweets in their timelines.

Twitter today said it is improving the multimedia experience of Twitter.com by changing how it handles images. Moving forward, Twitter will now show full image previews, rather than crop them.

Twitter today hit refresh on its home screen experience when visited via mobile browsers. The new Twitter.com homepage makes it easier to follow Tweets and stories without requiring users to log into their account.
Twitter More Prominently Suggesting Who to Follow
Twitter has tweaked its Android and iOS mobile apps by adding "who to follow" suggestions directly to users' timelines. Twitter says it relies on a number of factors to determine the suggested accounts, including users' email and phone contacts, as well as what types of accounts they already follow.
Twitter to Place Higher Priority On Ads
Twitter today is rolling out a new product for advertisers that will give them the top spot in users' timelines. Called First View, the marketing product will push promoted video Tweets to the top of feeds on mobile devices, visible when users first open the app.
