AT&T: 12 More LTE Markets Launching Soon

AT&T today announced that its LTE 4G network will arrive in 12 new markets in the coming months. The new markets include Cleveland, Akron, and Canton, Ohio; Naples, Fla.; Bloomington, Lafayette, and Muncie, Ind.; Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Lou.; St. Louis, Mo.; Bryan-College Station, Texas; and Staten Island, N.Y. LTE will be rolled out to these cities during April, May, and "into early summer," though AT&T declined to provide specific launch dates. According to AT&T, it currently covers 28 markets and 74 million POPs with LTE. AT&T said that its LTE 4G footprint will double -- to approximately 150 million POPs covered -- by the end of 2012. AT&T expects its LTE rollout to be complete by the end of 2013.
