RIM Buys RF Engineering Firm
Research In Motion today announced that is has acquired a company called Paratek Microwave. Paratek creates adaptive tuning technologies for multi-band handsets. RIM says the Pareatek team has been added to its own radio engineering team, where it will help RIM refine the radios in its phones. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Google Picks Up Panorama Photo Firm
Google has acquired a small startup called Digisfera, which specializes in 360-degree photography. The company will be added to Google's Street View team, where its technology will be used to enhance and improve Street View imagery.
Xiaomi Hires Another Google Exec to Run India Business
Xiaomi, the Chinese handset maker, recently announced it has hired Jai Mani to lead its product team in India. Mani worked on Google+ and other products within Google.

Google Assigns Timeful to Task Management
Google today said it has acquired Timeful, a company that helps people manage their email, calendars, and schedules. Google said it believes adding Timeful to its suite of productivity apps will eventually help users better control how they interact with meetings and other work/life demands.
