RealNetworks Launches Streaming Media Portal

RealNetworks today announced RealOne™ Mobile Media Guide, a portal featuring brand-name streaming audio and video programming for mobile phones and PDAs. Content available through the Guide includes programming from: Capitol Records, CNET Radio Direct, FOXSports.com, iFilm, NPR and Virgin Records. The Guide is available for Series 60 devices, such as the Nokia 3650, as well as Pocket PC devices. Consumers can access the guide by simply adding a bookmark to http://mobile.real.com on their mobile device.

YouTube today said users will soon be able to stream video live from their mobile phones. The video site already supports live streaming from PCs, and YouTube first promised to bring live streaming to phones last summer.
Google Search App Can Be Used to Open, Interact with Other Apps
Google has updated the main search application for Android devices and expanded its ability to use voice commands with other installed applications. For example, users can say things like, "Ok Google, Shazam this song," or "Ok Google, listen to NPR" and it will do exactly that.
