New Horizons Technologies International announced yesterday that it has received certification by Industry Canada for its Cyclone disposable cell phone, approving the device for sale in Canada. The Cyclone is a disposable / refreshable phone that resembles traditional cell phones, including the ability to make and receive calls, and is unlike other disposable products that call-out only. Cyclone is also refreshable, allowing more airtime to be added quickly and easily over-the-air once the original airtime is used. Industry Canada is the equivalent of the FCC in the US, for approving wireless devices for sale and use.
