Ricoh Announces 3G Digital Camera

Ricoh today announced plans to demonstrate their wireless-ready RDC-i700 digital camera with Lucent Technologies' 3G wireless network infrastructure equipment at the CTIA Wireless 2002 trade show this week. A Ricoh RDC-i700, enabled by 3G CDMA2000 1X and 1xEV-DO wireless technology, will transmit digital images over Lucent's 3G equipment at speeds of up to 2.4 Megabits per second, to demonstrate how businesses can transmit high-resolution images immediately without having to connect the digital camera to a workstation or laptop.
