Not a bad BB
I have used many phones and many BlackBerry devices over the past few years, and I have to say this one is the perfect size and style for me. I am using a Tmo branded device unlocked for at&t and have had very few issues with this phone. Pros: There's many...the phone is seamless as far as the OS and such. Camera is great Screen resolution is incredible, absolutely flawless. The browser is fast even without 3G, I downloaded the BOLT beta browser ...
I am wowed. To say the least.
The build up to this release has been nothing more than a headache. To be honest, the release has been too. As an at&t employee, working in a location with an Apple store across the hall, I 'noticed' something. Apple could give a **** about us. Their store received AT LEAST 500 iPhones...we received 20. But, after seeing all of the satisfied customers roll into my store, I must say that I have been impressed. I wasn't able to touch one, ...
Amazing. Simply amazing.
I'd like to thank my required data training with Cingular Wireless, because if it weren't for my store manager forcing me to go to the training for this phone, I probably would have never warmed up to a BlackBerry. I went this route since I started with Cingular/at&t: -HTC 8125 -RIM 7130 -Motorola V3i -Samsung i607 (BlackJack) -HTC 8525 -RIM 8100 Pearl -Nokia N75 -Motorola V3r -RIM 8300 Curve Let's get one thing straight: my 7130 was indestructible. I threw it. Dropped it in orange juice. But ...
BlackBerry = God.
I'll keep it simple, because RIM still does. All I need is texting, e-mail, and a device that doesn't lock up or power off. I can't praise RIM enough. My 7130 was sick. My 8100 Pearl was as well. I held off on the 8800 cause I personally didn't need GPS. But hell, that is amazing too, use it once. Even for TeleNav chargint $9.99/month, it's worth it. Anyway, the 8300 Curve is like a ...
Thank GOD I didn't pay for it.
At least I work for the company so I can try these phones for free. Though I am picky, please take me seriously. I sell these phones, so only person I hurt is myself. Anyway... ...so it turned on. That's the ONLY REASON it gets a .5 review. No pros. AT ALL. CONS: -can't turn off 3G (UMTS) like its European counterpart. -battery life = 3 hours standby. -2mpx camera lags and is of horrible quality. -Drops a plethora of calls, if it ...
BlackJack a HUGE disappointment (Cingular Employee)
To begin, I gave this phone an overall rating of 2.0, for the sheer purpose that it had 3G, it made calls, and it turned on. This is my basis of comparison. I work for the company. I hate this phone. So much so, that I will question a customers request to purchase it unless they beg me. CONS: -Keyboard is so tightly-packed, not even a 3-year-old can press the right keys when typing. -LAG LAG LAG! I know Windows Mobile ...
Blackberry FTW (Cingular employee review)
After using the RIM 7130 with nothing but 100% great praise, I switched to the Pearl with high hopes. And, as I had assumed, the hopes were fulfilled. Blackberry does it again; only this time with seamless integration with combining a phone, organizer, e-mail and multimedia device all into one unit. As a Cingular/at&t Wireless employee, I have used a wide variety of devices, ranging from: -HTC 8125/8525 -RIM 7130/8100 Pearl/8300 Curve/8700/8800 -Samsung i607(BlackJack) -Nokia N75 -Motorola V3i -Motorola V3xx -Samsung A707 (SYNC) I must say ...
Had this phone replaced THREE times
I upgraded to the 8300 from the 8200 because my 8200 was dropping calls, power cycling, etc. This was only after 7 months of usage. But I got an incredible deal on the 8300, and couldn't pass it up. After 2 weeks, the phone began having its issues. During text messaging, the phone would lock up. After a minute, the screen would go blank, then say 'Looking for Service', then reconnect like nothing happened. This happened about ...
