for the Samsung SGH-T629:
Say no to crippled t-mobile phones
T-Mobile had this phone designed for them, not you. Before you sign a contract and pay money to get this phone, make sure you really want it. It plays MP3 ringers, but of course it can't just do it, they have to make it annoying. It has high speed EDGE wireless internet and a nice large screen which would be great for web browsing, but the Samsung browser is terrible and the phone won't allow you to use any other ...

for the Samsung SGH-T209 / X495 / X497 / X496:
Missing or non-working features, random power-off
This phone is loaded with features that work poorly. It makes calls OK. The web browser is a piece of junk. The biggest delay in loading a website is the browser starting up or the phone acknowledging that you clicked on a link. But there are some really annoying con's... You can't select ringer tones for the alarm clock. You can only choose from a ...

for the Sony Ericsson J300a:
Major reception and stability improvements
The most important functions are better than previous models. This may be classified as a lower end phone, but the call quality is much better than the [guessing] soon-to-be-dead t290, which wasn't a bad deal for it's intended markets (free with contract or $40 prepaid kit). I bought it unlocked from Amazon.com (full review posted there) for $112, and I don't regret it even with a few gripes from me and blunt service from SE. I finally have ...
