for the Huawei Honor 8:
Nice spyware-laden device
This is a very nice device at a very nice price. Unfortunately it has security issues. I am not a security expert, but I will share what I found. Upon powerup, the device asks permission (at least it asks) to access your contacts, and a bunch of other things (some of which are necessary). This happened for at least five different Huawei supplied features that use your data connection to share your info with Huawei. You can decline, and also ...

for the Samsung Galaxy Note II (GSM):
Me, daily: "These guys have thought of everything!"
I am a design engineer, mostly telecom (not mobile). The only fault I can find with this phone is that I wish the screen were brighter. I am coming from the LG Nitro HD which has an IPS HD display that is probably the best I've seen. Capability-wise, this device does everything, but what blows me away, is the level of integration: Pull out the pen while you're on a call- it pops up a notepad, then ...

for the LG Nitro HD:
Call me NITRO!
This is the nicest phone I've seen. My wife and I each had a Galaxy S II Skyrocket for a couple of days before we switched to these. The Galaxy had no ability to voice dial the contacts. I had to prove that fact to several AT&T people. But thanks AT&T for making it right! The screen is amazing, the responsiveness is excellent. Aside from a few minor and very infrequent glitches, I have no ...

for the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket:
Nice device- inconvenient phone
I got one for me and one for my wife. We were spoiled by our Windows phones with their Voice Command and high level of app integration, but didn't know it. The Galaxy S II Skyrocket feels great in the hand and the screen is bright. The 1.5 GHz dual core CPU and 1GB or RAM make performance very snappy, lag-free. It finds our Wi-Fi network right away and switches to it as soon as it does, so ...

for the HTC 8125 / 8100 / MDA (USA) / K-JAM / P4300 (Wizard):
8125: great, but not perfect
I have owned an SX66 for about 8 months, and really like it. It has a crummy bluetooth * implementation, and is dog slow on GPRS, but it works pretty well as a connected PDA. It has pretty decent reception as a phone, too (see below). There was a lot of buzz in anticipation of the new 8125, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I've had mine for about a week now, and ...
