for the HTC EVO 4G:
Not my cup of tea
I hate to be the one voice of descent... I couldn't wait to get this phone. And it is a GREAT device. Just not a great phone for me. I use my “smart” phone first and foremost as a phone. Secondly, I use it to read emails. Basically there is no third. Predominately my cell phone usage is in a car while traveling the interstates. Some around town but not a whole lot. Regardless if I'm using my phone in ...

for the Samsung Knack U310:
great for the ancient crowd
I might be light at a 3.5... Bought the phone for my 84 year old father who is hard of hearing, vision is less than he'll admit too, and is easily confused by gadgets. It replaced a less than cheap phone some not so brilliant Verizon salesperson pushed him into. He can see the screen. Hear the person to whom he is talking. The keys are not too small. Can finally get his voice mail. Were working on him understanding how to scroll through contacts. Since ...

for the Apple iPhone 3G:
more of a computer than a phone
The Iphone is a good phone but not a good phone for me. I had the phone for 10 days and went back to my Pearl (Sprint) and could not be more happy. To me the phone is a two handed phone. There are many "Apps" from which to choose and I do not have the time to try multiple "apps" in an effort to discern which is best suited for my needs. I need a phone and the ability to read ...

for the BlackBerry Pearl 8130:
great phone but...
Bar phone that is just about perfect in terms of size. If it was ruggedized then it would be perfect. RIM gets it. Camera... could care less. The signal strength is no better or worse than any previous phone. Ear piece clarity is very good. Blackberry set-up can be done sans reading the manual. All in all I'd have no qualms with recommending this phone to others. So why the 3.5 rating? The phone book and its features leave a lot to be desired. At least for ...

for the Nokia 6235i / 6236i:
don't like flip phones this is for you
I'd probably give this phone a higher score if it was sans the camera. I use a phone for just that. A phone. This phone will not be replaced for a good long while. It's just what I've been looking for in terms of size and features. Pro's Normal set of features found on (Verizon) Nokia products. Crystal clear reception. Size - I've been waiting very patiently for a small non-flip phone from Verizon. Con's Camera - this is the perfect business persons phone. Except, ...
