for the Nokia 2600:
Can't be beaten for the price, now that it's available as a refurb
I've used this phone for a few weeks now in the Mid-Ohio Valley on Cingular's network. Reception is good given the limitations of GSM coverage in this area, I'm planning to post details on tracfonewv.com. This phone has met my needs so far. PROS low cost (see explanation below) form factor/keyboard/menu layout readability/usability of menus and selections on the bright 128x128 color screen speakerphone spreadsheet software ringtone composer to supplement the selection of ringers installed on the phone free incoming text (newer Tracfones ...

for the Nokia 2285 / 2275:
Good phone, but better ones are out there (2126i)
This phone held up well, but I deactivated the ones I had and moved the service to the Nokia 2126i model. Battery life was OK, but for the phone's size, the battery should have been upsized. However, you can do better, for less. Battery life is excellent, but should be, since the battery is almost twice the size of contemporary phones in other brands. I've come across a couple with Chinese made batteries that wouldn't accept a charge; ...

for the Nokia 2125i / 2126i / 2128i:
Excellent basic phone at rock bottom price from Tracfone
This phone is now being retailed by the infamous big box store at under $20. It lacks a few bells and whistles of the Nokia 2285, which I deactivated when I got hold the 2126, but I won't miss them. Who's going to use an internet minibrowser at Tracfone rates? It won't replace your PC or Xbox, and don't ask it to at this price. The battery is larger than the 2285's and goes a few ...
