for the LG VX-9400:Great phone but no battery life
Tried two separate devices, two different software versions and had the same result....no battery life what-so-ever. Minneapolis user with previous VZW phone LG VX8300. Comparing the 2 phones the 8300 with 20 minutes talk time plus 30+ txt messages per day would last 3-4 days prior to needing a charge. The 9400 would last no more than 1.5 days. I will give this phone a middle of the road rating since it does have some nice features, and I think that I received a refurb or return from Cingular. I have to preface the whole review based entirely on the fact that this is a phone first and foremost. I had this phone for a short period. Had to send it back due to horrible call quality. I live in Minneapolis and have not had issues with phones dropping calls. When I got this phone I was truly disappointed, I would be looking at a middle of the range reception and would experience dropped calls or garbled reception. for the Nokia 6101 / 6102:What I can't hear you
I had the 6102 using Cingular Service in the Minneapolis area. Comparing it to my Moto V551 for signal strength was pretty much a wash for the most part, but comparing it to my Razr it wasn't as good. It was usually 1 bar less.
