for the Samsung Galaxy Note II (GSM):
A good phone, not a great phone
I have had the Note 2 for about two weeks. Good phone but it has a couple of serious issues. Pros: -Screen size is outstanding, allows my aging eyes to see screen better -Great reception -OK apps Cons: -Poor volume control placement (I oftentimes hit the down key when turning off the scree with the button on the opposite side) -Apps not quite as good as with Apple I overall like the phone, I wanted to try something different (I love the iPhone but had ...

for the Apple iPhone 5 (CDMA / global):
Best phone yet!!!
No phone can compare to the iPhone 5. It is a modest upgrade but still one that is very welcome. PRO: Screen fantastic; apps fantastic; battery life improved; slimmer form; LTE on Verizon is lightning fast (no carrier in the US can compare); improved SIRI (hard to tell but there is some improvement) CON: Google maps not present; new cables needed (minor). The only reason that this phone doesn't get a 5 rating is because of the maps. Apples maps is sorely ...

for the Samsung Galaxy S III (CDMA):
Not as good as other phones
This phone was a replacement for my iPhone 4S that was having battery issues. I should have gotten another one. Pros: screen is large and easy to read. Phone is slim and the battery life so far has been much better than my iPhone. Cons: spelling autocorrect just isn't done very well. iPhone beats it hands down. Siri much easier to use. Messaging threads are not as good as the iPhone. The apps are pretty much the same anymore between the two ...

for the Apple iPhone 4S:
Fantastic phone
This is my fourth iPhone and I am impressed. The only way this could be better is if it had a larger screen. With the IOS5 system update I noticed my iPhone 4 getting slow at doing some things. With this new CPU it is back to working very quickly. PROS: iPhone easy to use and has tons of apps. SIRI-The voice of things to come. This is an awesome capability. As this technology matures watch iPhones to get even better. This was ...

for the Apple iPhone 4 (CDMA):
Finally a phone I can give a 5.0 rating to
This is without a doubt the best phone in existence. It does everything that is needed and you don't have to worry about the battery life. People are complaining about not being able to surf and talk on the phone at the same time. I do this, about once a year, how many people actually do this though? The AT&T iPhone was a good device but not a great phone (I had the 3GS but had to give it up because ...

for the Samsung Convoy:
Poor performance for a Verizon phone
Our work recently switched from Nextel to this phone so we could do the PTT. There has been nothing but complaints since then. Reception: worse than Nextel. I even work in a very urban area that Verizon is well saturated in. I miss phone calls and then get a notice of a voice mail (never got that on Nextel). PTT calls will miss sometimes also. Call quality: mediocre at best. Sometimes hard to understand. Customizability: Only one tone for ...

for the HTC EVO 4G:
Nice phone, not great phone
I have had the Evo 4G for some time now and there are some great things about this phone. Unfortunately there are also some drawbacks also. PROS: Screen size is fantastic, touch screen is great, Internet is very quick and loads full web pages with very few problems, syncs on-line with services (a must these days in my opinion), signal is usually very good (Los Angeles area California), camera takes some great photos and video, speedy processor. CONS: No 4G yet ...

for the Motorola Droid:
NOT an iPhone killer
Had the Droid for four days and it is not an iPhone killer. PROS: Great phone reception and on Verizon it worked great. Good voice recognition. CONS: apps lack a lot of things that are on the iPhone. Difficult to navigate in comparison. The Droid was OK. Phone was great, apps and net surfing were a pain. The Droid lack things like pinch and zoom. The apps lack a lot of things that the iPhone has. Besides the phone part the only ...

for the Apple iPhone 3GS:
Great phone, very little dissapointment
I switched to the iPhone 3g and I fell in love (I usually switch phones every 3-4 months). I got the iPhone 3Gs and with one exception I am very happy with (the upgrade is worth it to me for the camera and video reasons alone). It has a better camera and now video, both things very important to me because of my niece. The phone is faster at opening apps. It still has all the great features of the ...

for the Apple iPhone 3G:
Fantastic phone
This is a fantastic phone. I switched from the T-Mobile G1 and I am happy that I did (T-Mo 3G is worthless). The iPhone does just about everything I want. The screen is fantastic, the apps varied and wonderful, and the phone easy to use. There are only three minor drawbacks that I have with this phone. Nike+ not available for this, no landscape virtual keyboard, and the speaker phone is a little soft. I have a habit of changing phones every ...

for the HTC G1:
Impressive phone
The G1 is a really good phone and if you are hooked into (or on as the case may be) Google, then this is the phone to have. PRO: Good phone quality Great features (wi-fi, 3G, etc.) Keyboard (who likes that T9 stuff) Great screen Applications coming out daily (most are crap but a few are good) CON: Battery (big con) Volume key is right where I use my finger to hold it while texting 3G not in many places (sometimes not even in 3G territory) Ringers have low volume I ...

for the BlackBerry Curve 8330:
Great phone
I just can't quit Blackberry's. I have left them and come back to them many times. I get tired of all the email I get but then miss it when I stop getting it. It is like a disease. Now onto the review. The 8330 is a great phone. Pros: The phone part is solid with good audio reception and transmission. The speaker phone is awesome. The screen is great with the multimedia doing a really good and solid job playing ...

for the LG Dare VX-9700:
Not all its cracked up to be
This phone is a good phone. Not a great phone. It does an OK job for the phone part. The rest of the phone, while the features look nice, is ultimately difficult to use. The touch screen is OK. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and I still have some problems with hitting the wrong key. I was unable to successfully transfer my contacts from OUtlook. I even downloaded BitPim and tried that and ...

for the Palm Treo 700w / 700wx:
Came back to this phone because of reception
I have tried MANY phones from different carriers even. I WAS a believer in Blackberrys but have since regained my senses (getting email ALL the time was becoming tiresome). PROS: FANTASTIC RECEPTION, I have never had a phone that gets reception like this phone does. Even in areas where I had poor signals with other phones, this one keeps on going and never gives a problem. Touch screen Able to play media files Stable WM5 Lots of add in programs available Touch screen Calendar function is ...

for the Motorola Q9m / Q9c:
Q9m on Verizon Wireless
I moved to Verizon Wireless from T-mobile and the BLackberry 8800. Best move I have made. Pros: Good call quality. Good reception over a wide area. Speaker phone. Text keyboard. Ev-Do. Great web browser Con: battery life When on T-Mobile, even if I had full bars, I would loose calls. Happened with several different phones so it is the network so I decided to switch. Verizon has service everywhere I go and after more than a month I have not lost a ...

for the Nokia E61i:
E61i
Overall this is a good phone. There are some areas where it is lacking though. PROS: Great phone reception Good speaker phone Excellent screen Good keyboard Wi-Fi Calendar Cons: Cumbersom e software Takes extra steps to send text and email messages No built in spell checker No OTA sync with google Overall a good phone. I have not had any problems with the reception. I love the large screen which allows me to surf the web easily when I need to. I come from a long line of blackberry's and this phone makes sending ...

for the BlackBerry 8800:
8800 disappoints
I am an avowed Blackberry user and even though I try other phones, I keep coming back to the Blackberry. I eagerly anticipated the 8800 when it came out but I was disappointed in its performance. PROS: Fantastic screen Plays sound and video files Separate storage (micro SD card) Great battery life Looks sexy and sleek CONS: The phone part is poor compared to previous models. I have used the 8700 and the phone part of it is great. I can hold conversations for long periods of time and ...

for the Motorola Q:
A very positive review
I purchased the Q about a week ago. So far I am very impressed. I needed a phone that I could mod the screen easily so I could read it without my reading glasses and this fit the bill. PROs: Excellent screen resolution Great signal Love the EV-DO (whished it was Rev-A) Great slim sized phone Good PDA funtions (use it all the time to keep my appointments) Really good camera CONs: No wi-fi, would have been nice to have The battery life is OK, I wish it ...

for the BlackBerry 8703e:
Verizon 8703e
I am a blackberry addict (self admitted). I love the blackberry line, can't live without them. I have used many (MANY) different types of phones and I always came back to the blackberry. I just recently switched from the 8700c (unlocked GSM) to the 8703e. Now this might not seem like an upgrade but I am getting better reception on Verizon than I did on my GSM network (although it was good). PROS: -Email, email, email. If you ...

for the HP iPAQ hw6920 / hw6925 / hw6915 / hw6945:
Good convergence phone
I purchased an overseas phone because this one has everything that I need in a phone/pda device. Set up is straight forward and very easy to do (even though this is a UK model and I am in the US). Pros: WM5 (play movies and music) PDA GPS (a fantastic advantage) Phone quality above average Wi-Fi Cons: I have had some problems with headsets (blue tooth mainly) and this might be due to the person whose phone I was talking to, I am trying other wired headsets right ...

for the BlackBerry 8700:
Excellent phone
I have had the 8700c for a while now and I am very impressed with the unit. I had the Treo 650 before this and the only area that the Treo beats the Blackberry is in signal strength (and thereby by voice quality). Pros of the Blackberry: - Great for email and messaging (my messaging has increased dramatically) -Excellent screen (both in daylight and in dark) -Able to log onto web pages that the Treo would not let me (i.e. bank web ...

for the HP iPAQ hw6510 / hw6515:
Excellent phone
Excellent phone. Had a chance over the holidays to put it to its fullest test. Pros: Excellent reception Above excellent for handling email and web surfing Keypad is great Screen easy to see and use Loved the GPS (even though I had to buy software to use it) Cons: Earpieces volume can sometimes be low (repositioning phone solved majority of problems). Love the phone. I was on vacation and they only had dial up for INTERNET so I used my phone daily for email and ...

for the Palm Treo 650 (GSM):
Love the Treo 650
Bought it about a month ago and love the phone. Did the update to fix the voice mail and now works flawlessly. Pros: Great reception Great screen Great PDA Good speaker phone Good Web Surfing Cons: A little larger than other phones but you get used to it. I don't have a land line phone so it is important that my cell phone gets good reception which the Treo does VERY WELL. I also use a cell phone at work because I move around so much ...

for the Motorola A630:
Reception could be better
I have owned an unlocked version of the A630 for a little over three weeks now. I like the phone because it is easy to send text messages. The major drawback though is the reception. Reception is only average at best. My V505 would get and make calls without any problem at my work, the A630 won't do that (often misses them). Also in my garage the A630 would not find a signal, my V505 would find a ...

for the Sanyo SCP-5500 / VM-4500:
VM4500 review
Excellent phone. I have had quite a few phones and I have always compared them to the Sanyo 4900 (that WAS the best pone that I ever had). This phone is just as good as the 4900 and has plenty of extras. PROS: Excellent sound quality Excellent signal strength Good camera Good camcorder Good speaker phone Excellent screen resolution Excellent battery life (with the extended battery) CONS: Speakerphone levels jump up in loudness that are not proportionate (one level is just a little soft while the next ...

for the Sanyo SCP-4900:
Fantastic phone
This is the best phone around. Great signal strength, fantastic battery life, extremley dependable. I am seriously considering getting rid of my home phone and going with this phone alone. This is the phone that all other companies should pattern theirs on. This is what a cellular phone should be.
