for the HTC Hero (CDMA):
Good but not great.
First, I really like android. The operating system is great, I love the apps and HTC's build. Here is the problem: the keyboard is very hard to type on quickly without making mistakes. The battery life really stinks and the reception is not as good as my previous Sprint phones. That being said, I will keep the phone because I like the form factor and build quality..I can always buy an extended battery. Pros Form factor great screen build quality lots of free apps spell ...

for the Sanyo SCP-4900:
The best
I sell cell phones for a living, Sprint, T-Mobile and Cingular and by far this is the best phone I have ever had. Yes I wish it had EVDO and Bluetooth but as a phone, making and receiving phone calls, the 4900 rocks! Drove from Austin,TX to Corpus Christi, TX (232 miles) on one call and it didn't drop the call once.As soon as Sanyo comes out with a Bluetooth EVDO phone I will give it a try!
