for the Motorola W385:
Iccckkkkkky
PROS - can use like a phone CONS - ring tones too quiet - can't do anything if you are expecting a call. Back at store within 2 hours of purchase, sales assoc. blue toothed an obnoxious 1960s phone ring that can be heard. No good ring tones, I'm a former Nokia customer, so expect good tones to diversify my phone book. Sound quality okay, but signal strength weak. Camera, don't even go there. Style, pretty drab. ...

for the Samsung TwoStep R470:
Geat MP3 Player, stinky phone
PROS - MP3 player works well, great with added song storage on memory card. Phone looks good. Feels solid. CONS - Voice dialing is absolutely more dangerous than just holding the phone in your hand and dialing. It doesn't work quickly, easily, or at all many times. Earpiece is great for an MP3 player, but not so convenient for on the road calls. Make sure you use the short side, or people won't hear you, since ...

for the Nokia 6165i:
Solid Nokia, but they have done better
Trying this phone to make sure issues are cleared up before giving it back to my son. US Cellular service, midAmerica. The phone's battery was initial problem - defective cell. It was doing bizarre things like losing half life on a vibrate ring, then partially recharging. Shutting off. Also, froze. The good news - I dropped by the repair center, and they reset to factory settings (just to be sure nothing was corrupted) then gave me a ...

for the Samsung SCH-A570:
Solid Phone
We are so sold on this phone, that even though it is discontinued and my husband's suffered a terrible fall, we replaced with the same model via an online auction. PROS- Solid reception - which was a VERY nice surprise. Usually only Nokia gets as good reception in our area Solid build Good battery life and charge time Easy to read external screen Easy to read internal screen Easy to read display of battery life Light to indicate Charge status during charging Large numbers when ...

for the Nokia 6255i / 6256i:
What was Nokia Thinking?
I never could have imagined giving a phone a 5. There's always something. Well, Nokia is no different. Call clarity, great signal, dependability are the usual hallmarks of Nokia. This time though there is something MORE, not LESS. I look for a phone first for service, secondary are all the gadgets and buzzers. Not only are calls clear, reception great, and battery life great, but we were pleasantly surprised that the gizmos ...

for the Nokia 6015i / 6016i / 6019i:
Aaaaaaah. . . relief
After 5 dreadful months of the Motorola V810 I am finally back to a great reception, great battery life, awesome hands-free with or without headset, fully usable Nokia phone again! I missed being able to make and receive calls with the voice activated system of the Nokia. The button on the provided ear piece saves a lot of hassle fishing for buttons on the phone, leaving the phone open, etc. You just hold the button until you hear ...

for the Motorola V810:
Not for headset, signal quality, battery life
When our contract came due for renewal 8 mos. ago, we switched to the V810 from Nokia (don't remember the model, but gave the Nokia's to the teens so they are still in the family) If you just want a phone to make and receive calls. This is okay phone for that - if you are in the middle of a lot of towers where signal will never be an issue and don't mind the cutting feeling the ...
