for the Motorola W385:
Excellent basic phone
For a free phone on a 1 year contract, this phone can't be beat. Excellent RF (reception), I get 2 bars where LGs and Samsungs can't make a call. Voice quality on both ends is excellent. Bluetooth works well. Nice size, solid, the rubberized materiel makes it easy to hold. Inside display is ok but functional. Ringtones sound very good. Pros: - Solid, good feel, good size and shape - Good voice recognition - Good speakerphone - Excellent (for CDMA) battery life - Excellent RF - ...

for the LG VX-8600 / AX-8600:
Beautify, but not a good phone
Beautiful phone, nice screen, nice size, easy to stick in your pocket. The keypad is better then the RAZR, but still not all the great. RF(reception) is bad, drops calls and can't get a signal where the better LG and all Motorolas can. Audio quality is also very poor, people on the other end complain about the sound being muffled and tinny and it isn't much better at the 8600 end. Battery life is not good, and on top of that ...

for the Motorola RAZR V3i / V3t / V3e / V3r:
Nothing Special
I use this phone with ATT Wireless, RF is above average, the voice quality is just ok, but it is better then any other phone I have used on a GSM network. The menu system is laggy but battery life is good. PROs - easy to hold - slips into a front pocket easily CONs - displays are not particularly good, poor contrast and color - Buzzing when the backlighting is on - Keypad is below average

for the Motorola Q:
Excellent Device, not for the mentally challenged
I have had this phone for two years. The voice quality is excellent, RF is very good. I have used the many phones and none (except other Motorolas) compare to the Q with respect to RF and sound. This phone meets my needs; checking e-mail, Google maps, music and occasionally surfing the web. Battery life has been good considering how the phone used, is used it as just a phone, the battery life is similar to most any other phone. ...

for the Pantech PN-215 / CDM-8915 / Snapper / PN-300:
Ok phone with no few features
Use as work phone (PN-300). Limited functionality due to simple menu scheme. RF is ok, voice quality is ok. Rugged, I have dropped it many times and treat it rough in hopes of getting a different phone with bluetooth, but it looks and functions as good as new. The outside display is easy to read in sunlight. Pros -Rugged -Decent battery life Cons -Calculator is no good, only shows 2 decimal places in results. -Inside display is not particularly good.

for the Motorola V323 / V325 / V323i / V325i:
A phone that is a phone
Performs as a phone should, best reception of any phone I have used on Verizon. Audio is clear on both ends. I have used all the LGs and there is absolutely no comparison in this regard. Pro's - RF - Nice size, easy to handle - Fixed charging port as compared to older Motorolas - Audio (Call clarity) - Speakerphone - Voice dialing works very well - Battery life is good for a CDMA phone - Loud ringers - Good ...

for the Samsung SGH-X426 / SGH-X427:
Below Average Phone
This is my work phone which I use instead of a desk phone. I have had this phone for about two years, first on ATT and now on Cingular, RF reception is poor, audio is very poor, people on the other end complain of static and distortion. Receiving end audio is slightly better, however it is worse then my LG and far, far worse then my Motorola, both of which are CDMA, people keep telling me GSM has superior ...

for the LG VX-8000:
Nice features, only average as a cell phone
I have had the phone a week, replaced a V60i. This is my first LG phone. The size hasn't bothered me, voice quality both ways is horrible when compared to the V60, very tinny. The speakerphone actually sounds much better. The maximum volume level when not using the speaker phone is much too low, in a noisy environment it can be difficult to hear the caller. I drop more calls with the VX8000 then I did with the V60 ...
