for the Samsung Galaxy S9:
Great for Weather Spotter & Ham Radio operator.
I had the Galaxy S8 and the I-Phone 8 Plus and this phone is excellent for the most part. The battery life is good given I keep the display set on QHD. Why keep it on HD or FHD if the screen resolution is QHD? I find that a charge does last me the day with adjustments to increase battery life. I am averaging about 40% usage daily. The display is very sharp and robust. I like the wider ...

for the Samsung Galaxy S8:
Great for SKYWARN Spotter.
I upgraded from the Galaxy S7 and I am quite pleased with this device. The Audio quality is excellent and I like the Extra Volume feature for outdoor use. The speakerphone is good as well and is louder than the S7. The display is great. Having a larger aspect ratio makes most of my apps, especially my weather apps look real good. Screen is very responsive even with a screen protector. The Edge display enhances the experience too. ...

for the Samsung Galaxy S7:
What a Device!
I am new to owning a flagship device, but this phone does everything and is a true performer. I really like the speed and display resolution. Calls on either the earpiece or speaker are loud and clear. There is a good amount of memory. 32 GB of ROM and 4 GB of RAM. I opted to add a 32 GB Micro SD Card. I received an update to 7.0 Nougat which seems to run great. I would of like ...

for the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016, CDMA):
J3 is Impressive for Weather Spotter.
I purchased this phone from Boost Mobile in early December, and I am delighted thus far with its performance. The Boost variant has 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM with a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 Processor and Adreno 306 Graphics. The battery lasts a whole day + on a single charge even with the LTE (4G) enabled. I lose about 1-2 percent battery capacity per hour if I take conservation measures. I have since added the ...

for the Samsung Galaxy On5:
Metro PCS Variant pretty good.
I have the On5 for three months now and I have to say that it is a very good budget phone. The audio in the earpiece and the speakerphone is superb. I like the "extra volume" feature especially in outdoor settings. I like that it comes out of the box with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 installed. The HD display is pretty good for a TFT display. The responsiveness of the touch screen is laggy sometimes. But it is not ...

for the HTC Desire 626s (CDMA):
On Android 6.0.1 Now.
I am pleased with the 626s (Boost variant) for the most part. The earpiece audio is a bit low making calls outdoors a bit difficult. The speakerphone is too low, even at maximum volume. The HD screen (720 x 1280) screen is very good. My weather radars are very detailed on this screen. The audio through the headphones is actually excellent. I wish it had more than 8 GB of ROM, but the 1.5 GB of RAM seems to ...

for the LG Tribute 2 / Tribute Duo:
Good starter phone.
I had to replace my Moto E which died on me. Replaced with the Tribute 2. I find it to be a very good phone. The earpiece audio is excellent. The speakerphone could be a bit louder. The UI is smooth and easy to navigate in concert with the Lollipop 5.1.1 installed. The only other thing that I may be critical about is the supplied music player does not include a graphic equalizer. But my music sound pretty good ...

for the Motorola Moto E (2nd gen., LTE/CDMA):
Good Phone for a Budget.
This phone is got its strengths and weaknesses. It has the new Lollipop 5.0.2 and sports a 960 X 540 qHD screen, but the screen size is reduced to 4.2" in most modes except the Home Screen and photos. The earpiece audio is good even outdoors. The speakerphone is a bit tinny though. The battery seems to last all day plus, I am finding myself with 60% battery remaining at the end of the day.

for the LG Volt:
Great Phone
This is the best phone I ever purchased. It has so much in a phone for under $180.00 (got for $150), Surpasses my Warp 4G and Evo Design 4G by lengths. I live in Central NJ and the Enhanced LTE (Spark) yields me over 30Mbps DL. I do not see parting with this phone. Kit Kat 4.4.2 performance is better than I expected. The Quad-Core processor works very well. The audio on the stock music player is pretty good, ...

for the ZTE Warp 4G:
Great Phone, earpiece could be louder.
I think the earpiece audio is pretty good, but the volume maximum could be louder for outdoor environments. The JB 4.1.2 is very responsive and the Full HD screen is "crisp" in appearance. I keep at 20% in side and tap "Auto" brightness if I will be out doors for any length of time. The transfer of my contacts and other data from my Evo was simple enough via Bluetooth. It is a solid phone, I did opt to ...
