simply amazing
writing this review from the iPhone and typing with 2 thumbs. This phone is really a computer in your pocket not simply a PDA. Pros RF: this gets 3 bars in my basement and my son's razr had no signal. screen: most amazing screen you will ever see. Have it on 1/2 brightness and it is phenomenal. Browser: the real Internet in your pocket, period. Keyboard: could type with 2 thumbs almost instantaneously and I came from a blackberry. iPod: incredible to scroll through your music ...
Phenomenal Device
Will be comparing 8800 vs 8700, Pearl and Blackjack. Have had all of these devices in the past 4 months in an effort to find the perfect all-in-one smartphone. Rank in Order: Form Factor: Pearl, 8800, Blackjack, 8700. Pearl was great size but lack of qwerty keyboard eventually killed it for me. 8800's keyboard is superior to Blackjack and device is much thinner than 8700. Blackjack had a good form factor but keys were hard to press. 8700 keyboard was ...
Best Consumer device for email
Am using the Cingular Pearl. Came from a Samsung Blackjack, which, on paper, is everything one could want in a device. It had 3G, full keyboard, good form factor and expandability. However, what made me switch was the poor implementation of push email and the battery life. So why did I switch to the Pearl and what are my comments after 1 wk with the device? Pros 1)Email. Pearl's email is amazing. I am set up to receive my corp email ...
First PDA owned and this one is Phenomenal
I came from a RAZR v3i and wanted to utilize high speed data. Tried the LG CU500 (no go), and the Sync 707 (liked it but bluetooth didn't work with my car) so I decided to try the Blackjack. It is the most amazing phone/device I have owned since that original razr 2 years ago. I think it is that groundbreaking of a device. Pros: 1) Form Factor is amazing. It slips in your pocket (including jeans) effortlessly. You really don't ...
Went back after 36hrs
This review is coming from a happy RAZR (V3i) owner who was interested in an HSDPA clamshell. First the Good: 1) 3G. Speed was amazing despite this phone only supporting 1.8 HSDPA, not the full 3.6 HSDPA. 2) Bluetooth. Synched quickly and effortlessly with my computer, my V3i, and my car. Did not get to try the A2DP headphone profile. 3) Screen. Even though it is 65k, it was very bright and large enough for limited browsing. 4) Music capabilities. Played music well ...
New PEBL Chrome owner
Have been using a V3i for about 6 months and just wanted to try the PEBL. This review will compare phone to V3i (which I rate a 5*, btw). Appearance: very cool looking. I have the chrome one but the black looks equally cool to me. Really like the analog clock on the front screen. The phone feels sweet in your hand and pocket. A little heavier than the V3i. Fingerprints are brutal on this, keep a soft cloth available. ...
Phenomenal Update to Razr
I'm sitting here listening to iTunes on my phone through the stereo headset, browsing the megapixel photos and videos, using my voice to dial digits (without prior programming)and searching names in the phonebook by inputting more than 1 letter to search so that I can choose 'S T' instead of just 'S'. I put the transflash memory card in the slot and store 100 iTunes songs as well as my videos and pictures. If this sounds like everything you had hoped ...
Best pure phone I have ever owned
I have had many gsm (and a lot of cdma phones too) in the past 2 years. 8290, e715, v600, sanyo 5500, audiovox 8900, 3610, v878, 6610, just to name a few. And after 1 month of usage, the Razr is the best pure phone of them all. Pros: 1) form factor. If you keep your phone in your pocket this is the best phone. The thinness of the v3 is the difference in pocket comfort. Jeans, khakis or suit-pants. ...
