for the Motorola Droid:Great Phone - couldn't be happier!
I received my Motorola Droid today. I have only made a couple of calls, but the clarity sounded great (even on speaker phone). The battery cover was tight. I've been downloading apps and browsing the market - battery has barely gone down. The screen is just amazing. I have yet to put my Zagg screen protector on (still has the cover that is on the device when purchased), but I did buy the verizon standard leather ...

for the LG VX-8500 Chocolate:Does the Job
The Chocolate is my first LG phone. I have always been a Moto person. I upgraded to the Chocolate from the V710. It was really hard to upgrade because I have had great success with the V710. Battery life is OK, its not spectacular, but what standard battery life really is? The only downside to the phone in my opinion is the fact that it is a dual mode (digital) phone. I prefer tri-mode phones. ...

I bought my phone 1.5 weeks ago and it works great. When I say great I am basing that on my old phone (T720). I went up north (past Lansing) and I had great reception.
