for the Nokia 5310:
Quality phone for making calls
This phone replaced my Samsung Trace which started going "gimp" in the last few weeks. You can see my cellphone ownership history if you read my review for the Trace. Anyways, I've had the phone for 2 weeks. I'm very happy with the reception, UI (user interface), functionality, and form. It's slim and light. The battery life is a bit above average. I don't use the music player b/c I use my mp3 player but ...

for the Samsung SGH-T519 Trace:
Exceptional
First off, I'd like to say that I buy cell phones to make calls so call quality is priority. Having a camera, mp3 playback, organizer, etc. just aren't that important to me; I'd rather use my iPod or Canon for that. Typically, I like Nokia's due to their great reception and intuitive interface but must say that the Trace/T519 is exceptional comparitively. the good: -excellent reception (NYC, all over Chicagoland area, Atlanta so far) -super slim; eat your ...

for the Nokia 6101 / 6102:
Nice phone
If you want a phone with good reception, this is the one for you. Nokia in my experience have generally better recepction than their competitors including Samsung and Motorola. It has a camera, fm radio, relatively small, stylish, and fantastic battery life. My only gripes is the lack of ringtones (I spent $1.49 to get a good one). I like the external color screen and I do wish the receiver was a tiny bit louder ...

for the Samsung SGH-E635 / SGH-E630:
Good phone
I recently upgraded to this phone after using a Nokia 6610 for over a year. After having used the e635 for a few days, I have found the phone to be pretty good compared to past phones I've owned. I have always looked for phones that have great reception. Cameras, mp3s, bluetooth and all that fancy stuff never influenced me enough to buy a particular phone. Because Nokia's tend to have better reception than the ...

for the Nokia 6610:
Review after 1 year of Use
After a full year of use and abuse, this is thus far the best cell phone that I've owned. I've previously owned the Nokia 8260 and 8265 and used the Samsung S105. Reception has always been great with Nokias. I'd always have more bars than people w/ Samung or Motorola phones but with the same service provider (Cingular and T-mobile). The faceplate did get pretty beat up after several drops and mishandles but you can ...

for the Nokia 6610i:
Excellent Phone; Highly Recommended
I've owned a Nokia 8260 and 8265 and the Samsung S200 and E105. From my experience, Nokia phones tend to have the best reception. A lot of people blame the cell phone service but much of the time it's their phones. I bought the 6610 in the age when all the new phones have cameras and bluetooth but all I want is good reception. I'm not willing to sacrifice that for the fancy crap. ...

Good features
PROs: various features, color screen, polyphonic sound, funcionality, good battery life (way over 3 hours talk time), external display and button CONs: average reception, laggy Conclusion: good phone if you only need a phone that makes calls and some web features. Reception not as good as other phones I've had.
