for the HTC HD2:
Time will tell
I also was very hesitant to buy this phone because of the WinMo and the size of the phone and tried the new Moto Cliq XT 1st. That phone is actually pretty good unless you throw a lot at it all at once. I use Exchange and trying to look at emails while answering call is kind of like listening to Sarah Palin. You just know something is going on in there and at some point ...

for the Motorola Cliq XT / Quench:
Good Phone
I would agree with the post below. I would also add this phone has the best exchange interface of the TMobile Android phones. You do not have to purchase Touchdown for this one. However, strangely you can set the phone to check for email every 15 minutes but no push email setting. The phone reception is also surprisingly good. I am able to make and maintain a call in areas I was not able to with ...

for the HTC myTouch 3G / Magic:
Great Battery. No UMA
This is not a bad phone. Pros Battery time - using push email, wifi and moderate talk, battery easily lasts all day. Camera - eventhough only 3.2 mega pixel compared to 5 for the behold and clique. the camera actually takes pretty good pics for a phone. Apps - tons of free apps. Call clarity is excellent Reception is good; not great Cons No UMA keyboard orientation slow to switch slow to load apps but once loaded pretty fast Native Exchange client only does email. Need to pay extra ...

for the Apple iPhone 3GS:
Better as a smartphone than as a phone
This phone really excels as a smartphone but as a basic phone it falls short. Pros; Bluetooth wifi snappy processor - really fast, no lags business apps - the best. I am able to pull all of my documents, review and edit and save back. Sync ota with office computer. I am also able to review all my case/project notes, update and sync back and forth over the air. OTA sync with Exchange. Games Cons; reception - average at best. battery time - not bad but ...

for the Palm Pre (CDMA):
This phone lags
Pros; Decent battery for a smart phone nice screen really good camera for a phone if perfect lighting Cons; Extremely slow to launch programs Touch screen is not that responsive; have to touch hang up several times before the phone will do so. The phone is just too slow. After awhile it gets really annoying

Apr 28, 2009, 9:13 PM
for the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220:
Reception problems kill this phone
Just want to add two big problems I had with this phone; reception and outlook exchange. Reception is weak and phone is not clear even where coverage is strong. That includes UMA. Calls were choppy and unclear. Also experienced constant problems with corporate emails. When deleting from outlook server they would not delete from the phone. Constantly would have to resend service books to correct phone and within a day I would have the same problem. Simply not ...

for the HTC Shadow (2009):
Not a Bad Phone
Kind of funny how no one has posted on this phone. Suggests the phone is not very popular. But overall it is a pretty good phone. I like new gadgets and have tried most of the phones. To me the G1 is not a business phone because the battery time is horrible and it does not ota sync with outlook although I know there are some new programs comming out that allows it too. The new ...

for the HTC Touch Pro (CDMA):
Horrible
If this phone had a better camera, a little bit bigger screen, a battery that would last more than half the day, decent reception and a processor that was fast enough to push its own software it would be worth buying. Right now its just a pertty face that promises a lot but does not deliver.

Jan 17, 2009, 1:47 PM
for the BlackBerry Curve 8350i:
Returned it after one week
Nextel seems to be the only carrier with service at my office so I really wanted the phone to work but after one week I was forced to return it. The main problem was with the sound. Even where I had good reception I was constantly hearing complaints that I sounded like I was driving in a convertible. Over all the usual blackberry functions are there and work well. Email, syncing with contacts and calendar are great. ...

Jan 8, 2009, 10:37 AM
for the Samsung Messager R450:
Good for what it does
Using on Metro PCS. As a basic phone and for text messaging the phone works well except you do not get your conversation chain like on other verisions of this phone. The reception is good, noticeably better than the R430 and the camera takes decent pictures for what it is. The phone comes with a USB cord which does not make much sense since you cannot sync the phone with Outlook. It is essentially for pictures and ...

for the Apple iPhone 3G:
Better than the original but, Ehh
Not a true phone for a business professional; Pros; -Great gadget -lots of free games to download -takes decent picture in good lighting; but no zoom feature -Great screen -Now can sync online with an Exchange server -Can download and read attachments better than on any pda or blackberry I have seen -wifi which is much faster than iphone 3G Cons; -battery will not last the entire day and since you cannot change the battery, you must be able to charge it somewhere -reception is horrible; drops calls and bad ...

for the Nokia E71 / E71x:
Wow
I constantly try to have the latest techno gadget and I am in search of the perfect cell phone and still have not found it but this one is as good as it gets right now. Pros; Size. This phone is thin and fits nicely in your pants pocket. Reception - hey its a Nokia. Battery - I use constant push email, about 4000 minutes per month and poke around on the internet and the phone easily lasts the entire day. Exchange - ...

for the Nokia N95:
Battery is this phones downfall
Used the N95-3 whihch is the latest version (besides the 8GB) version for US. Came with the larger battery now being used for this phone. Pros; Camera - amazing pics for a phone Bluetooth - works well with headset WiFi - connects easily and fast 3G - web pages load very quickly PDA/Smartphone - allows you to sync online with Exchange for calendar, contacts, tasks and email. However, if you keep notes in contacts only first few lines come over. Music - great speakers. ...

for the Apple iPhone:
A very expensive toy
Once the newness wears off and you are forced to live with the phone you realize it does not live up to its hype. Touch screen is intuitive and much more accurate and useable then WM6 devices however, still has a long way to go. Very hard to type other than when surfing the web since you cannot rotate the phone in an email or text so your typing area is cramped. -The battery is ok, will last a day ...

Apr 2, 2008, 10:09 PM
for the Motorola i880 / i885:
Can you say Dinosur
This would have been a great phone maybe 3 years ago. Although it works ok as a basic phone this is really yesterday's technology.

Dec 18, 2007, 11:11 PM
for the Palm Centro 690 (CDMA):
Just OK
If you like a Palm Treo, you should like this phone. Same old same old in a smaller package. The only time this becomes an issue is when trying to type on the very small keys. Pros; reception boring but reliable OS size able to sync OTA with Outlook Exchange (contacts, calendar and email only) internet radio (major plus) Cons; limited bluetooth; no AD2P support battery will not last the day a little sloooow only supplied ear piece plays stereo, have other that plays in one ear only.

Sep 23, 2007, 11:19 AM
for the Motorola Q:
Not that Bad
After reading these reviews I was hesitant to buy this phone mostly because of the complaints of poor battery time. But after my 700WX recently went for a swim I needed a new pda. Having been very unhappy with a previous Mogul, not going to pay 650.00 for a new Treo and limited by Sprint, I was left with the Q. I use bluetooth for the car, push email for wireless sync with exchange and talk at least ...

Jul 28, 2007, 11:01 AM
for the Sanyo M1:
Not overly impressed
This is basic flip phone with huge internal memory (1Gb) for songs and pictures. As a basic phone it works fine. Typical good Sanyo reception and battery time. Battery lasts about one day of heavy useage. The phone has a media player and allows you to copy songs to play on the phone which sound great from the included ear buds. An adapter is included to allow use of aftermarket headsets. The memory is nice ...

Aug 30, 2006, 8:50 PM
for the Kyocera Jet / Angel:
Jet OK; Hollywood Better
The best features of this phone are the slider function, user interface, speaker phone and the clarity of the screen. The reception is good; but the hollywood is better. Other than that, there is no blue tooth, the battery time is very short and the key pad is tiny. Overall, the worst feature is the battery time. With very little use; the battery will not last the enire day. Its not that this is a bad phone. ...

for the Nokia 6255i / 6256i:
Nokia Flop
Although I am a Nokia fan, this phone gets a thumbs down. On the positive side; - like most Nokia's you can use your old chargers, headset, etc. - The menu system is familiar Nokia - The battery has reasonable talk time although will not last the entire day with heavy use. - Contacts and limited calendar and tasks sync easily with Outlook. - Big buttons on the key pad - camera takes a reasonable picture for a phone. Cons; - The phone is bulky; will not fit ...

Oct 16, 2005, 8:09 PM
for the Palm Treo 650 (CDMA):
Reliable but........
Used the Treo 650 for one month on Sprint PCS. Pros; -Palm Operating system is much more reliable then MS. In one month phone rarely froze. -Flexible and reliable to sync with outlook however, you must buy additional software such as Pocket Mirror. Pocket Mirror does allow you to sync Outlook public folder like calendar and private folder for contacts. -SMS format is very convenient. Works like a chat session. Cons; -Battery will not last entire day of heavy use. -You will spend ...

for the Audiovox PPC-6600 / PPC-6601 / XV6600 (HTC Harrier):
Try it; you will return it
I tried two phones with Sprint. Spent hours with Sprint Tier 2 to no avail. Pros; -Great screen; but still hard to see outside during day. -Neat slider -Bluetooth works well with headset -Syncs with Outlook 1st time everytime -charges while in sync cradle -reception is on the better side Cons; -Too big; uncomfortable in your hand. -Battery will not last full day. -Phone locks up constantly. For no reason the phone will say unable to complete call as dialed and stays that way until someone calls you ...

for the Motorola RAZR V3:
Unlocked version on T-Mobile
Using an unlocked black version on T-Mobile. I like the latest gadgets and change phones frequently. I have used blackberys, Nokia 9300 and various other high end phones. I am sold on the Razr. Pros; -Very sleek -Battery lasts full day of use. I don't mind charging every night. I am more concerned with talk time as I use 4000 minutes a month and this phone lasts. -RF is great. Since the software is very similar to ...

Mar 21, 2005, 4:59 PM
for the Sony Ericsson P910:
The operating system makes the phone
The phone itself is not all that. It is big and bulky especially with the flip attached (it is easily removed). The flip is really too small for anything other than SMS. The battery will not last an entire day of heavy useage. Reception is good but not great. Nokia phones and even the newer Motorola phones are much better reception wise. You will not pull in a signal in weak areas. Many ...

for the Samsung SGH-E600:
Pass on this phone!!
Used unlocked version on T-Mobile. Pros: -Comes with 2 batteries and the extended battery easily lasts an entire day of heavy useage. -The phone has a quality feel to it. The case feels solid and the buttons are large and easy to press despit tiny size of phone. -The camera takes decent pictures for a phone. -The size is tiny. -Both internal and external LCD are easy to read with nice colors. -nice sliding latch to cover port for handsfree headset. Cons; -Very difficult to sync this ...

for the BlackBerry 7100 / 7105:
Email and Phone but lacking as PDA
I recently tried this phone with T Mobile for 10 days. The battery time is really adequate. You need to charge it daily but I don't understand the problem with that anyways. I use 3-4000 minutes per month and did not have a problem. The RF was average. My wife has a Nokia on T Mobile and RF was significantly stronger. The sure type key pad is actually pretty good. It is different and does take ...

for the Kyocera SE47 / SE44 / V5 (Slider):
Hey this is a good phone
The story on this phone is its novelty and its reception. Yes its reception. I have had the Samsung I600 and the LG VX4500 on Verizon and I can tell you the reception on this phone is hands down the best. I thought the reception on the I600 was horrible and the LG; although it would show one or two bars of service you could not get a call out. I have only seen searching ...

for the LG VX-4500:
Be carefull with the Flip!
After 2 mos with the phone, I just had an expensive experience. Opened the phone to answer a call and when I put the flip against my face it snapped in two. The VZW store told me with any flip phone you need to put your finger on the back of the flip so this does not happen. I have never seen this before. The phone was not repairable and I needed to purchase a ...

Jul 25, 2004, 2:06 PM
for the Samsung SCH-i600 / SP-i600:
Take it off the Market
The I600 is a compact package that promises alot but is not yet ready as it constantly has problems. I went through 3 units in 1.5 mos trying to make it work. The reception is avg at best. Now using a LG VX4500 and my reception now is night and day better. The small battery is worthless. Make one or 2 calls and you will be lucky to get through lunch with it. The large battery is ...

Jun 6, 2004, 12:37 PM
for the Nokia 6820 / 6820i:
6610 with a keyboard
Everything about this phone is very similar to the 6610 with some added features. I use an unlocked version on T-Mobile in South Florida. Like the 6610 the battery life is excellent and recharges quickly. The screen is identical in size and clarity to the 6610. That is very grainy, poor color contrast, washes out in the sun, font size is small. But if you just want to enter a phone number and make a call ...

Feb 17, 2004, 2:10 PM
for the Motorola V300:
Able to Change faceplate color for V300
Bought phone a little over one month ago from T-Mobile. Was told I had to live with the blue cover which I did not think looked very professional. Was able to purchase from ebay and easily install matching silver faceplate and battery cover. The phone looks much more mainstream in silver. Other funky colors are available too. I have been happy with the phone. Noticed when checking email on T-Zones gives menu on screen to ...
