for the BlackBerry Storm 9530:Great for casual use
Been a BB user for quite a while off and on. Had an old school BB pager back in the day all the way up the recent 8900 and 8520 units so I can tell you the shift in RIMs ideology from business to casual is a welcomed addition. Bringing that reliable, first class e-mail and backend to the casual user wasn't a smooth transition (initial bugs on this unit and the Flip Pearl still isn't perfect) ...

First up, if you are a power user you need to find a different BB. This is not the phone for you. For everyone else that wants a superior e-mail/messenger smartphone that just works, read on. for the Sharp Sidekick LX 2009:Still a great messenger, terrible phone though
Let's start with the obvious. The phone looks amazing. The screen is huge and the device no longer looks like it was made by fisher-price. Solid construction all around. Nice soft-touch paint and really tight locking screen, almost too tight. The keyboard is great as usual. Same with the camera surprisingly. Pictures looked great. Media player is good as well. Messaging on the Sidekick is still aweseome. IM, e-mail, the works. All good. ...

for the Sharp Sidekick LX 2007:Great on everything, except the phone part...
So I have had a ton of phones, most recently the Sidekick 2008 which I loved, but it was too small for me. So I went shopping and decided to drop the cash on an LX. So I picked this up right before the prices of the sidekick plan went up to 35 a month and well, I am pleasantly surprised. I needed a phone with decent e-mail and text capabilities, but I already use a Blackberry for work so I wanted a little something different for "home" use.
