I actually don't think she is completely wrong. If I remember correctly, Sprint is the last of the big 4 carriers to offer no-commitment pricing. I believe there is only one option called the "month to month" plan for $40 if you want to go without a contract on Sprint, other than that it is 2 year contract. If I am wrong please let me know.

Cricket doesn't own licenses to sell service in Florida. Not yet atleast. Dont know if they bought some in the recent auction or not. Cricket and MetroPCS are very similar in their offerings. If you are looking for unlimited calling from a regional area and dont travel nationwide often, either carrier will be a good choice for you. Phones between the two carriers are very similar too. If you have MetroPCS in your area, then it is worth getting ...

Not anymore. They resell VZW now and are trying to move everyone off their old MVNO Sprint platform.

The new plan changes are in Dallas in Northern CA. Not in FL, Atlanta or Detroit. Metropcs did this to counter the new Boost Mobile Unlimited plans that were recently launched in Texas and California.

Are 1 year contracts still available with ATT/Cingular? I heard they were supposed to be done away with but telesales and most reps still offer them in stores... anyone know the official word?
