Heat and Helio Issues
I've been with Helio for about 4 months or so and have to say that the Heat and Helio's customer service is a joke. I'm going on my third Heat right now, and am probably just going to cancel my contract and go elsewhere.
For starters, the phone is absolute garbage. The text messaging is on par with the worst I've used. Overall, te software feels like it was written by a third grader.
The reason I've gone through so many ...
Re: You Get What You Pay For...
I just got my phone yesterday and am quite happy. I got the heat though. It seems like a decent phone, and I like the size. But I'm VERY annoyed by the text messaging. I've thought about calling and upgrading to the drift, but I have a feeling since both phones are samsungs that the software will be the same.
I'm VERY annoyed that I can not turn off T9 autotext permanetly. I have to switch to abc each text. ...
Lack of Customization?
I just got a Heat yesterday and like the phone and the service quite a bit. My biggest beef is it doesn't seem I can customize the phone very easily. I'm mainly talking about default settings. The T9 texting SUCKS bad on this phone, and I'd like to have it automatically be abc, but I can't figure out how. Any clue?

Pretty much my sentiments. Just wanted to break free from contracts and the big cell companies that constantly F you with out a qualm.
Any opinion on Helio? I was thinking about trying them out. I'd have to sign a contract, but if I get all that stuff for free, wouldn't mind (as long as it isn't like Cricket).
Re: Leaving Cricket - Anyone Else?
I'm in the Portland, OR market.
I can send text messages all I want to Cingular customers, but I cannot recieve a single one from them.
Like you said, picture messaging is VERY touch and go.
The return policy has a grey area? How's that?
I normally don't talk bad about a company, and feel I'm not being overly pronounced in my feelings towards them. Its just that I don't appreciate spending a lot of money for a phone with a company, and ...
Leaving Cricket - Anyone Else?
I've been with Cricket for a week and a half and am leaving as soon as I can sell my phone. It's been an uphill battle since I joined them. Here's a small list for your reading pleasure:
- I am miserably unhappy with their rude and unhelpful customer service.
- I can no longer recieve text messages from Cingular; period.
- Picture messages are limited to only two other networks and seldomly go through.
- They have a 30 minute/30 day return ...
Not pictures??
So I just picked up a Nokia slider through Cricket and am quite peeved. It turns out you cannot send pictures or receive pictures from other networks? Is this true?
