Biggest shopping day of the year is this month. Do you cell phone stand reps get a lot of business on that day?

Msn messenger live contacts

I have a question about this.. on the Mogul I would like to sign into MSN messenger, however it wants to sync up all of my contacts on my msn messenger list with my address book. It gives me the option of "OK" or "Cancel" I would like to sign in to msn messenger on the phone without syncing the emails up, I have 150+ emails added on the list and it would be a HUGE annoyance to have ...

Ah ha.. scored a Qwest Mogul today on craigslist for 245 bucks, cheaper than the activation fee price without the activation. It is brand new straight out of the packaging.. pretty sweet deal.

Yeah they do seem a little off on the whole wireless side of things, it's really strange because I'm satisfied with the service, being an MVNO of Sprint gives me better coverage than my girlfriend who is on T-Mobile. Anywhere my girlfriend goes I have 2+ more bars of service than her. However they really lack in phones, and I got excited when they released the new HTC devices on their line. Right now if the prices lowered I ...

Logically, that's what I thought.. Qwest is normally higher priced. I was just informed by a rep at a Qwest stand that in november they were planning on lower prices do to quarter lowering or something of that sort, who knows. As much as I'd like to believe that, I know a lot of reps spew BS, I work in the warranty service call center for AT&T and we have AT&T corporate store reps setting all sorts of unreasonable expectations.

My room mate works next to a Hollywood video. The check cashing place there got robbed by gunpoint twice within a few months. When does it become worth it to invest in security/let employees handle guns? My room mate carries everywhere, even when he's working at hollywood video. I know he would not hesitate to shoot any a$$hole that decides to pull a gun on him, neither would I.

Can you confirm any price drops for the HTC Fusion or the HTC Mogul within the next few months?

Yes.. I am a warranty representative for AT&T and let me tell you that AT&T has a ton of 3G problems. In fact they were completely illogical (most likely on purpose to make money) in the way they released their 3G tech, and rolled it out just to make a quick buck and screw the customer for a year or two while they expanded and upgraded their towers to REALLY support 3G. As for disabling 3G. I'm sure it's in ...

You had a potential sale! You should have said, "yeah that centrytel or whatever company is complete garbage. Let me show you some good phones right over here." Sounds like he would've been dumb enough to do it right on the spot haha.

Thanks for the information. I thought I had a customer do it to their Sync once but it is also quite possible that it was just a CU500. I go through hundreds of customers a week. I know the Sync has potential, unfortunately 3G is still in it's infancy stage and everyone is having receptions issues. If we could just get the manufacturer to admit there is a problem and reveal the service menus, it would be ...

I for one, as a XBM Rep, tell the customer what's wrong, and then upon transfer I inform the asurion Rep what was going on. In addition, some customers are unable to reach Asurion because they call in late and we end up having to provide the direct phone number to Asurion rather than a simple transfer. I don't doubt there are stupid reps who just send them over your way.

I would like to try this with a few people to see if this works. I come across a lot of phones from warranty that have reception issues, and the Samsung Sync takes the cake by far.. So I would like to know if I could get a few volunteers to try this out on their phones to see if we can get better service using permanent 2G service instead of 3G. If you are interested try these ...

That is very true.. I can't tell you how many times I've had a customer call in so and so set this expectation for me and so and so set that expectation for me.. Makes our job a lot harder as we try to explain and de-escalate the customers. Most of the understand it's misinformation but there's always that 1 customer who never gives up. I didn't buy a dodge stratus and try to return it under ...

You may tell them that the LDI, Leads are good and there is no physical damage, the warranty reps ARE listening.. However, if you knew how QA works, we NEED to specifically ask you and have you respond or else we get marked. Stupid, but it's our job on the line so we need to ask, there are stupid people on the job but I actually look as far as going into the service menus to fix the ...

Yeah that's very interesting. If I did that it would probably take a minute or two to transfer, something seems to be throttling the transfer rate. then again it's not like broadband or anything.

Ohhhh.. hahaha. man, you have to upload a little chunk of a song! try this, grab a program called audacity, it's a free editing sound editing program. Then open up your mp3 you want to edit. Now find a spot that you want to capture, like 15-20 seconds of ringtone (you only need that much cause you phone will never constantly ring for a whole song) Once you find the beginning of the section you want (I usually ...

That's where I'm unsure what happened with me. I kept trying to switch back and forth between qualcom, samsung modes, and the sky modes and the first time I selected quallcom, it did not work, but then I went back and forth between different modes and went back to quallcom and that's when my info started showing. I then had to go back to either the sky one, or samsung and click the "read all" button and ...

I've found this tutorial that uses the data cable to install free ringtones (note: this takes some basic computer knowledge and fidgeting.) I had my ringtones installing in 2 hours and now I can put a new one on in less than 3 minutes (this includes editing my mp3 file to a 15-20 second clip and converting it to m4a) I will try to check back here regularly if anyone needs any help. http://www.howardforums.com/showthre ad.php?t=1056727 It's quite awesome, I just installed a few ringtones ...
