Does anyone get a weaker signal with this phone vs other Sprint phones?
I used to have the HTC EVO 4G which seemed to be a workhorse in trying to maintain a strong and constant signal. When I swithced to the NEXUS S 4G I immediately noticed a much weaker signal. In places where my HTC would get a weak but usable signal the NEXUS hardly works at all. Anyone else out there notice this?

How to check the status of your iphone pre-order
Did you go to get an iPhone, wait in line and end up having to pre-order one via at&t's direct fulfillment? Want to check online and find out the status of you order? The directions on how to check your order status are posted here: http://danmobile.blogspot.com/
Re: Unsubsidized iPhone 3G price?
NO at&t has a press release clearly stating that if you bought a phone (not and iphone) and you are not eligible for an upgrade you CAN NOT buy a iPhone 3G for the 199 / 299 price. The problem is no one seems to know what the full price will be. I was hoping some one from at&t looking at these forums can tell us.
Re: Unsubsidized iPhone 3G price?
My upgrade eligibility date is December 28th 2008 only 6 months away. Even though at&t will more a month from me if I switch to an iPhone plan and lock me into a new two year contract the rep I talked to denied my request to move my upgrade date back a little. I don't see the logic of this decision. Did I just talk to the wrong person? Should I try again? I really want an iPhone ...
Unsubsidized iPhone 3G price?
Does anyone know what the iPhone prices will be for at&t customers who are not eligible for an upgrade?
Internal Antenna?
Can anyone tell me where the internal antenna is on this phone? Near the top of the flip? OR at the bottom back like Nokia's usually have?
I Love The New at&t
I've tried the others and came back to at&t. Love It! and my new NOKIA N75.
NOKIA N75 - Where is the recently used?
I have searched the knowledge base and support sections on at&t's and Nokia's sites for the N75. I can't find anything about this maybe you can help. In previous Nokia models I've used there was a "Recently Used" option to enter numbers or email addresses in the TO: block on a text message. I don't see this on the N75. The only way to select a send to destination is to go through the address book or to type ...

300 page at&t bill?
Did anyone else see this?
News story about a girl who received a 300 page bill from at&t. She sent 35000 text messages! What did she expect?

Back to at&t
OK I have tried Sprint & T-Mobile. I love the customer care from T-Mobile. Sprint is also cool with blazing EVDO speeds and lots of great phones like the LG Fusic. ??I am not one of these phone company bashers. I think it's amazing the technology & choices we have today. Sure there are things all of the mobile companies can do to be better. I have seen a lot of improvements in the last ten years. I believe ...
I need to know...
I wrote about Sprint's cancelation on my blog and want to do a follow up with stories about what these wacky customers were calling about. I can't imagine why anyone would call a mobile phone company 25 times a month.
I'm sure there are some classic entertaining stories out there.

Re: Wrong.
Yes you are correct I was wrong about the range of 1900. I do believe the 1900 band is the reason my T-Mobile phone does not work well inside so many buildings. My Cingular phone gets a signal everywhere. Both are quad band phones.
Re: Question to Cingular Gurus
The 850 band will penetrate buildings better and travel farther but usually has static or generally sounds crappy. The 1900 band sounds great crystal clear if you can get the signal.

Re: Any other reps tired of hearing "I have dropped calls"???
No matter what is going on with the switch from Cingular to at&t I knew there was going to be problems. This is why since November 2006 I switched to Sprint. Last month I switched to T-Mobile and after you guys are done I will switch back.
I was with Cingular for many years and had to try these other companies to find out if I was missing anything.
Sprint has some real cool phones.
T-Mobile has great prices, the best.
at&t(Cingular) has ...
Re: Still Happy
Yes you are definitely better off. I always thought that Verizon's graphics and phone menus were the worst. Verizon is overprices, there are so many more options and choices with at&t's [cingular's] plans. The ability to get a signal even deep inside buildings was always amazing with cingular.
at&t mobility and at&t wireless???
The new at&t wireless service is called at&t mobility, but the website is att.com/wireless?
Any feedback about this blog post?
http://danmobile.blogspot.com/2007/0 5/at-mobility.html
How much time does Cingular have left?
How much time until the Cingular name is gone? When the Cingular name goes so will Cingular.com... what will be the new att site for wireless? attwireless.com? attmobile?
My T-Mobile - Ringtones?
Are there any regular or "normal" ringers or beeps for ringtones available for download in the My T-Mobile area?
Re: Thinking of switching to T-Mobile looking for pros & cons
If I switch from Sprint to T-Mobile I am also making a switch from CDMA to GSM. I have used both but is this something that should even matter? I see pros & cons from both. Here's an article about CDMA vs GSM that makes sense.
http://danmobile.blogspot.com/2007/04/cdm a-vs-gsm.html
Re: Thinking of switching to T-Mobile... More feedback please
I appreciate the feedback and hope I get more. It's not that I have any complaints about Sprint or any other carrier. I've been a customer of all except T-Mobile.
When I look at T-Mobile I see even better prices than Sprint. Verizon & Cingular are expensive. My main needs are voice and text messaging & I look at weather reports on wap sites.
T-Mobile has a very organized, easy & clean website. Their plans are easy ...
Thinking of switching to T-Mobile looking for pros & cons
I'm currently with Sprint and thinking of switching to T-Mobile. I would like to find out what the good & bad of T-Mobile is.
Are there any quirks in their service? For example while I was with Cingular I had several incoming calls that I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. This happened about 3 out of ten calls and would force me to hang up and call back.
The T-Mobile phone I'm thinking of ...
Re: T-Mobile vs. Cingular
I switched from Cingular to Sprint - but if I had to do it over again I would seriously consider T-Mobile. I can tell you that Cingular was the most expensive mobile phone service I ever had. They seemed to nickle and dime me and their plans were very complicated. Too many options with lots of ways to get charged for things under one circumstance but not in another. Their text messaging & web plans just were not worth ...
Re: Um
Thanks to your suggestion I found the normal ring tone on sprint.com. Thanks for helping out. I found it and downloaded it to my FUSIC. For 2 bucks! but it was worth it I guess. ...
Re: Just beep please...
Thanks
Just beep please...
What happened to my ring tones? From the mid 1990's to about 2002 every cell phone I owned had one thing in common, choice of ring tones. There were a lot of ringers to choose from.
When I say ring tone I mean a "RING" tone, not the latest rap song, pop song, classical music, rock song, belching noise etc...
My current LG LX550 has only two "rings" and the rest is music. If I look for rings on ...
Re: Thinking of switching to Sprint - (To "dan327")
I primarily use my cell where I live in central New Jersey. I also frequently travel down the 95 corridor to Florida to visit family. Occasionally travel to visit friends in LA. I left sprint years ago because at the time they had a text messaging system that was more like dial up email. All my other friends were zapping messages back and forth instantly on verizon, cingular & at&t. I became an at&t customer and then flowed into ...
Re: largest coverage?
Technically Verizon has the largest ownership of CDMA sites in the US. Cingular has less than Verizon in land area coverage of the US but the largest GSM coverage in the US. Sprint has the largest broadband coverage and since they roam on verizon's network and own their own network one could argue that Sprint has the largest CDMA and total "voice coverage" of the US. Sprint's network occupies areas also covered by verizon so really sprint & verizon ...
Thanks I Switched
Thanks for all the input. I switched to Sprint and went with the LG Fusic. This phone is awesome! In addition Sprint has some really great services like picture mail & the wireless backup feature so I don't have to worry about losing my phone book. I originally left Sprint several years ago cause the text messaging system was like web mail and too slow & annoying. Now they have regular text messaging just like everyone else. NO Roaming! ...
Thanks for the input...
Wow I didn't expect this many replies when I started this thread. I stopped by a Sprint store the other day and after I checked out the LG Fusic it's time to say bye to Cingular, AT&T, at&t... whatever your name is going to be. When I checked out the service I was surprised at how clear the voice service was and how much faster the data services were. So see ya maybe I'll come back if apple's iphone ...
Re: Look...
Technically Sprint has more voice coverage in the U.S.A. because of their roaming agreements with Verizon. Since they don't charge for roaming anymore they have the largest coverage area at the lowest cost. Sprint offers more broadband services in more places than Cingular & better broadband content than Verizon... AND the iPod is about as much of a fad as the television or that crazy idea of the automobile replacing the horse.
Re: Look...
That's what people used to say about apple. Sprint is innovative Who knows what will happen. In 1997 apple was considered done but now what?
Re: OHHHHH I think I've got it...
Yes good point
Re: Fusic expandibility
You can download the user manual from LG in a pdf.
http://us.lge.com/download/product/file/1 000001307/Fusic_User_Guide_Web.pdf
hope this helps I'm thinking about switching to sprint from cingular for this phone.
Re: What about billing rates & sim cards
Better ease off the caffeine, no need for name calling. The fact is at&t is a name associated with a bad company. It doesn't matter who bought who, or who owns who. Why does it make good business sense to spend billions of dollars for a name change like this. The hip factor that cingular has will be gone. The at&t name carries baggage. If they spend billions of dollars to improve technology, coverage etc... Now that makes sense. ...
