Steve Jobs made the correct decision selling the iPhone only with AT&T(in the states), you ask why because GSMROCKS. Of course this phone will sell, here and globally. Everyone and there brother has an iPod in most European countries and they use GSM its a match made in heaven.

In addition when a you change your number the carrier puts your old # into a recycling pool of numbers that usually aren't reassigned for 30 to 90+ days (depending on market). So you don't get Bobs friends trying to call you call the time. Plus that rep you talk to isn't free either.

From my understanding only the Moto Razr V3xx "Platinum" is rebranded at this point, and it does appear the software and phone have been branded.

I worked for AT&T wireless before the great Cingular bought them out, with AT&T wireless billing system they could see your IMEI. Cingular billing system we could not see it, they must have made some changes recently.

Look at your online account service, at the bottom of the page it shows a picture of your phone. It used to be whatever phone you told it, now it will update and show the phone currently being used. I'm not sure how long it takes to update, but if I use the same phone for a couple days it changes. My sister has a phone that has never been active on my account and it show her phone ...

I don't see why everyone is getting all worked up over this, now that Cingular can see your IMEI over the air people are going to start getting some CRAZY bills.

I posted this question a couple weeks ago and never got a response, ReDave thanks for the run down. :D I still haven't purchased the cable yet or downloaded the program but with your response seems like I know ever thing about it now. ReDave thanks again for the help. Have you tried using blue tooth instead of the cable, and is it easy to do so.

Its called power cycling and it helps by giving the phone a fresh registration with the towers. Or if you travel a couple hundred miles its good to do also. Just every couple days turn your phone off and then turn it back on, it helps miss calls, or getting stuck on a tower (your phone has like little or no signal in an area where it should)

I seem to get all my calls, if you don't already turn your phone off try turning it off for 30 sec. about every other day.

I just purchased the SYNC and really like it. Just wondering does the phone book sync with outlook or does it only sync music. I haven't purchased the cable and software yet, any suggestions where get these items for a good deal. Thanks for the help
