Why is this being reported as news?
Can you explain why this is being reported as news?
As this TMoNews.com article shows, T-Mobile has been selling these since November 2010: http://bit.ly/nA4VjZ
So why is this being reported as new?
thanks
Re: Required plan is not atleast $100
The Press Release only states that a plan with "unlimited data is required" which doesn't mean it'll require an Everything Data or Simply Everything Plan. The release then goes on to advertise the Everything Data plans that start at 450 minutes all the way up to the Simply Everything Plan which has unlimited minutes.
This is very different than the wording used for the Palm Pre press release which stated that it'll be available with a "new two-year service ...

Re: Meh (wrong!)
It's three simultaneous calls...
you can set the airave to allow all Sprint users to be able to access it, for example, if you have the airave set up in an office, you can set the airave so that anyone in the office can use it. once the airave reaches the three simultaneous calls, all others go to a cell tower....
Here is what the Sprint Airave FAQ's states:
Can other Sprint customers use my Sprint AIRAVE?
All Sprint ...
Re: Push Email
you are mistaken... what you are thinking of is called Sprint Mobile Email, and it is going no where...
PCS Mail was mainly accessible from your phone's browser using the messaging link.. it wasn't an application..
Re: isn't there
yes, its from orb.com its called orb mycasting... i use it to stream all my music and video to my phone...it supports protected stuff too..
Re: No WIFI?
the link messed up it should be:
http://developer.sprint.com/view_devices .do?device=79530
Re: No WIFI?
well i go by the sprint developer site: http://developer.sprint.com/view_devices.do?d evice=79530
and it states there is no wifi on the phone. i personally don't see the point since the phone has evdo..maybe thats why they took it out, the gsm was slow data, so they offered it..
Harry
I just saw a SunCom commercial, and it got me to thinking... I wonder if Harry Connick Jr will move over to T-MO as their spokesperson... just wondered.
Re: Seriously Though!

Re: Alltel, Sprint, Verizon
well i can say for certain that the v9m will not be coming out on cingular(AT&T) or SUNCOM.. ;-)
Re: Sprint V9M - August 19th launch date..
over on buzzaboutwireless.com (sprint's own forum) someone has reported the same email but with a different ecare agent...
here's a link to the post: http://forums.buzzaboutwireless.com/baw/board /message?board.id=Phones&thread.id=1218
we shall see...
Re: V9M....What is the deal?????
huh... did u proof read that before you submitted it?
Re: RAZR 2 V9M Launching
the CDMA model will not be linux based...thats only for the GSM version...go to www.motorola.com and you'll get a break down of what each version of the phone will offer.
Re: GSM Unlocked Phone Setting Help
the D900 isn't in the list, but you could try another samsung model that is on there...
Re: GSM Unlocked Phone Setting Help
if you register for account access on suncom.com they have a tool that will send the settings to the phone... and install them....
Re: Sprint or what?
this is actually pretty funny, a poster in this thread verizon has the exclusive, while a totally different thread says sprint will be launching it on august 19...
Re: Telesales Says 8-1-07
telesales for who? what carrier?
java or brew
Ok i'm a total new-b, but i have a fair understanding of the difference between java and brew, now my question is, since i'm interested in getting this phone with sprint, should i expect brew? i thought i read that brew was a cdma thing, and java was gsm.. i may be totally off, hence the reason i'm asking in the forum...thanks!
Re: Displays
also, i think i forgot to mention this, but i'm only interested in phones that sprint has...so the info about the verizon UI, while appreciated, isn't very helpful lol...
sorry to be snarky...didn't mean to come off like that... so, basically if i'm looking at my k790a screen, i should expect the same thing from the moto, even though it has less colors?
Re: RAZR2 V9m On Engadget site
thast the only color motorola offers it in, check the site www.motorolalaunch.com the only other colors are for GSM phones...
Re: Displays
so does the resolution make more of a difference than the number of colors? I noticed on my k790a, that the resolution is 240x320, which is the same as the v9m.. whereas a phone like the fusic has a resolution of 176x220...
thanks for the help!
Displays
howdy...
I noticed that the display on the v9m is only 65k colors, or there abouts, and i currently have a sony ericsson k790a with 262k colors, or there abouts... now my question is, can you really tell a difference in the amount of colors? does the lower color amount look grainy or something? thanks!
Unlocked!
hey puremobile.com already has the v8 on its website... no pricing yet...
interestingly they have the iphone on there... i wonder how they'll get that unlocked...
Re: Soon Alltel will be everywhere
uh, yes, i saw that, and i said alltel doesn't have any landline customers, which would mean verizon woudln't have to spin off their landline business(govt related), now if u mean to spin it off to pay for the merger, then yea that wouldn't make sense, since all the rage is to be a triple play like cable..
Re: Soon Alltel will be everywhere
whats wireline got to do with anything? Alltel doesn't have landline customers.
Re: Seriously........
some national carrier, they(TMO) don't even provide coverage in the second biggest banking center in the country...
