Re: Completely out of touch
Maybe they're not targeting users towards higher-end high-speed data caps?
I'm actually on cricket paying technically $50 for the (now) 8gb monthly plan. Unfortunately cricket is still throttled at 8 mbps for "4g lte" speeds, but ATT gophone shouldn't be...
ATT gophone also seems to have a one-month grace "rollover data" period, so I hopefully would be able to pretty have a giant buffer roll over (up to 12 GB on one month potentially) for lots of the months.
Negative of ...
Re: Silly way to express a ratio.
I would hazard to say it's not only math they're pushing forth: also marketing (18:9 sounds greater than 16:9, though 2:1 probably sounds a lot less exciting than 16:9 and 18:9). :P
Re: go phone
For sure, one thing is Cricket throttles data (LTE speed = 8 mbps, I think 3g/HSPA = 2 mbps). I'm guessing ATT proper doesn't do that.. 8O
Not a world phone?
Initial reports put the Pre 3 as a world phone (which I thought meant GSM + CDMA together)... have things changed or is there just gonna be multiple versions of the CDMA phone? 8O
Gotta love...
... that they announced a PDF reader, with a *PDF file*!
:P
Re: Not just no...
According to the product's website, it's 1000 'full-length songs'.
http://www.slotradio.com/mobile
T he cost is actually more like 4 cents per song since you are also getting 4 GB of storage for your use in addition to the songs...since 4GB cards go for $10 minimum I imagine. I would seriously consider this product only because I do not own alot of music or pay subscription fees to get/listen music. It does suck that if you have a song you like, you ...
EH 20 link for info
Here's a link to what I have in case anyone was interested:

Does such an adapter or cable exist? (Headphone/mic)
I got a Motorola EH20 stereo headphone with built in microphone, but mainly use it as just a headphone.
I was wondering if there was an adapter that could take the 4-pole (3 band) connector it has and 'split' it into a stereo audio (2 band) connector and microphone (1 band) connector, so that it would be more like a regular headset I could use with my computer. I've searched around for such a thing online but ...
Re: So wait...
It was sorta funny (for me) looking for the clock & alarm app: I knew I came across it in the demo unit in the Sprint store, but I couldn't find it on my unit. The help files even had the reference for the clock app (Tap 'Clock' to start the application)... but after looking around for it for about 5 minutes, I just gave up.
Luckily my brother happened upon the update dialog, which solved that ...
Re: Quad-band CDMA (2100 Mhz?)
Ah, figures it was something tricky like that. Thanks for the clarification Rich.
Quad-band CDMA (2100 Mhz?)
Where is this band used? Not in the USA I'm guessing...? :o
More clarification on when it is free?
Maybe I'm getting confused with the recent plan changes, but the news release mentions the service free only with "Everything plans starting at $69.99, Talk/Message/Data Share plans starting at $129.99 for two lines, and the $30 Sprint Pro Pack data plan."
I am using the $15 Access (Power Vision) data plan, so I'm thinking it will cost the $10 extra if I for some reason wanted to use this... I point this out though because technically any data plan for ...
Re: How many of you said wimax would only be used in the us?
While I'm all for WiMax (waiting to see how Sprint does it here in the USA), just because it has showed up in Europe doesn't necessarily mean it will succeed there.
Like you mentioned, the other similar cellular technologies(LTE) are on the way, and those carriers are entrenched... sounds like the Dutch company who launched WiMax over there isn't an established company either, so that's one more thing going against them.
$31 a month (from the Reuters article) ...
Re: 2600 Classic = Quad Band?
Are they changing the 2600 Classic to quad-band specifically for the US market? Because the Nokia Europe link for the 2600 Classic says it is only dual-band...
If it were quad-band though, it would be a great replacement (IMO) for the aging 6230, on the cheap!
Re: wow, Verizon
Yeah, Verizon was mentioned, but there was no mention of Sprint? :? Oh well...
Hope Sprint is among their partners still
I'm still using the last Nokia Sprint released, the 6165i. Unfortunately, it was released more than a year ago... so I hope Nokia and Sprint are still good friends as I dunno if I'm gonna switch carriers anytime soon. :D
Re: Yes.
Ah, cool. Thanks for the clarification.
Now it's just time to hope for them to conjure up a CDMA phone with Symbian on it? With all of the "open access" from Sprint and Verizon ideally going on, that would be cool, even though I've never used S60...
"New" line by "new" design team?
Apparently there was some blogging on this phone a month ago, but I'm not that hardcore in following phones to notice the 2135 until it got posted here.
A site mentioned that this was not actually manufactured by Nokia: is this just continuing in the vein of the Pantech-made phones (6305i and 6315i) on Verizon? Sources, info, anyone?
Re: I want this phone!
I thought those price quotes were typo at first: "Were extra '1's appended to those prices??? :P "
Talk about luxury to the max... not even quadband GSM. /;|
