Watching movies on Chocolate II

On my LG 8300 i was able to watch to movies that I converted into 3gp or 3g2 format. I used the IMTOO 3GP converter. I still have the same files on my pc and I assume that the same thing is possible on the choco. but Ive only tried using the VCast music manager software that came with the music kit and its clearly only for audio. If I just load my micro sd card ...

dude. read a person's ENTIRE message before you respond. The gentleman said in the 2nd half of his post that you can call out with slide closed and he laid out an easy 4 step process for you. I can attest that his closed-slide method is correct and is this principle way the I make calls as well. also you can unlock the keys when closed and press the voice command button and voice dial your call. ...

For the last time, theres NO EVDO

im watching the blogs and such, and there seems to still be a debate over this. This phone will only access the 1X network. Look at the FCC filing. look at verizon's consumer website, go to the VZW store and have the rep look it up in their info system called infomanager. The darn thing could cure cancer for all I know, and be the best phone ever, but it has NO EVDO. that means NO VCAST. That ...

yes i would agree, Sgt. However I owned the phone for a bit and no phone serves any man's purpose if it drops calls in otherwise strong signal areas. Go check out the reviews. my review will give you some background on my opinion.

:paranoid: im not certain where phonescoop got their info but Verizon's internal product pages and info list this phone as 1X only and so does their public website. When I owned the phone it only picked up 1X, even though I was in a thick EVDO area. PS: I LOVE YOU GUYS but please double-check and correct that info. thanks wizzard

no its not. its virtually the same size. its chunky. thats done on purpose to apeal to its target demographic: rednecks, nextel converts, construction and service industry workers. but basically you are paying for shock and water resistance. Its functionally retarded and needs a revision of spec. or deletion from the lineup.

Personally, I have been unable to get mpeg files to play on the mobile windows media player. I converted my files to 3gp and they play ok, except the audio doesnt line up with the video. Ive yet to find a good answer to this question. google "3gp converter" and see what you come up with. find a program tat works for you and convert the files to 3gp. maybe you'll have a beter experience and come back and ...

Incidentally, for those in the dark- fru= Field Replacement Unit. its refurb. Many store rps will overlook your insurance level, so its cool your rep is helping you out without static. keepus posted on the progress.

use the voice recorder in your phone to record it yourself. mms it to your email. convert it using software like audacity to an mp3 file. email it as an attachment back to yourphone#@vzwpix.com. open the message, click options, and click 'save as ringtone,' then it'll be in your ringtone options under your message alert sounds settings. good luck. you can try this same method by googling for ringtones and mp3 files to use as ringtones and ...

I agree with you on that, obento, too an extent. The ads are BS. thats why I like Consumer Reports. lok at their january issue. thay rated all carriers again, as they do every year, by exhaustive research of real customer experience in dozens of national markets. but as far as word of mouth... all companies have their peanut gallery and and their trolls. The DMU key is an extremely technical piece of data that most verizon employees dont know about. most dont need to know, honestly. It stands for data mobile user. To put it in laymans terms, its the password to unlock a mathematical algorhythm that authenticates a given phone to the verizon network and allows it to make data transactions such as access the web, download games and ringtones, or send pix and text messages. The dmu key ...

No sir, the method of over-the-air programming (ota) does not affect what features you pay for on the account. that is decided when you call in the activation and the care rep changes the serial number on the account. However, I frquently encourage customers to confirm their account status, features, etc whenever they feel they need reasurance. Its always a good idea to get cozy with accessing your acount online so you can do a printscreen ...

the iphone has a few cool innovations, but honestly its really not all that powerful of a device. Its true strength in tech terms is the fact that ts running OS10. bravo to that. its strength sales wise is the brand recognition and the tremendous marketng buzz surrounding it since it is the next evolution of 'idevices' from apple. so the lg/microsoft hookup is a great developmnt for capitalism, but Im dissapointed at the windows choice. ...

bah!!!!! all of you who are whining about so-called 'cool phones' need to grow up. Truely, verizons phone have been lame in the past but theyve put a ton of effort into improving that. Examples: LG8600, Chocolate(I admit-any colour besides black looks tacky), Samsung 970,Moto Q black, samsung U340, samsung A930, LG enV are all cool devices. The real issue is that you are likely used to the flash-in-the-pan designs of the GSM carriers' phones. Nokia ...

ha ha.... tell me how you really feel... I got a good chuckle out of your post. I agree the colour choice is lackluster at best. Verizon seems to do that, they develop a string of good-lookin phones such as the LG 8600, the Q both black and silver, the high end sammys, and then they drop some crayola-nightmare straight outta a 1983 Prince video on us, like the A950 or that curvy blue LG 3450, or ...

Verizon does NOT force you to get an unlimited data plan, but it is heavily pushed in stores. and rightfully so, to avoid issues like what jreisner had. heres the scoop: in the beginning Verizon brought out the 'unlimited' pda plan and had no way in the system to provision an account without it. There were tricks that store reps learned but it ended up causing rediculous bills. NOW.. for the past 2 years or so, theyve had the pay ...

Given the fact that VZW's OWNED-Network is far larger than Sprint's, the issue is far less important to them. I agree that VZW will likely not do this. Although they RIGOROUSLY enforce this issue when the roaming in quesion is international, such as Canada or Mexico. That happens a lot and those cats get dropped like a hot potato.
