I have not messed too much with wallpapers. Occasionally I'll download a NASA image of the day and it pops right in.

Love it!

I came to the Vivid from the BB Torch. The transition to Android was bumpy, but I had to drop the BB like a hot potato. Anyway, I do feel like I have to handle the Vivid gingerly, due to it's size and the back plate. It is all worth it. Speed, smoothness, brilliant screen, and the envy of all my friends. Worth it. And the camera is fantastic, both still and video!

Re: How can I edit the size of the NUMBERS?

Well, since this is my friend's phone and he does not HAVE the manual (he got it in Singapore from his business associate for use when he is overseas) and since my N75 has no such information in it's manual...... However, it sounds like you have! Please let me know the page number that helps me. Thank you for your help.

How can I edit the size of the NUMBERS?
Jun 6, 2007, 9:23 PM
in the S60 (Symbian) forum

Friend of mine has a Nokia N70 and when he taps a number in, the screen shows these numbers in a very thin small, difficult to read font. With the small keyboard he is afraid of misdialing! Any help? I tried changing themes, but that had no effect.

FONT SIZE when dialling numbers

Okay, so this isn't specific to the N75. In fact, it's about my friend's N70 which he picked up in Singapore. When he dials a number, the numbers pop up on the screen, just like on our wonderful N75's. (Yes, unlike some people here, I am perfectly pleased with my N75!) The problem is, when he taps the numbers in, the screen shows the numbers in this very skinny, smaller font, which is hard for him to ...

Timed Profiles - I miss 'em
May 17, 2007, 12:19 AM
in the Nokia N75 forum

Yes, I finally ponied up and got my N75 and I love it, so far. I am still in the battery conditioning phase (something I never did with my previous phones and regretted it) and I like the battery life I am getting so far. But, one of the minor things I miss are the Timed Profiles that were available on my low brow Nokia phones. You know, when you could walk into a movie theater at 7pm ...

:D Welcome back, Goth! I see you've maintained your acerbic wit! But, seriously, where can I get me one of dem N1000? Sounds HOT! 8O :P

Hang in there! I mean, go ahead and look around. There ain't another phone out there with all the things you know you really want anyway. And, if the N75 isn't just a phantasm created by Nokia and Cingy/AT&T to drive us crazy, it will come soon. Come back to us, Goth. Besides, we would all miss your well honed sense of humor. (something you need if you hang on to these threads of hope...) Remember ...

Hey, Joseph, play it the way you feel, but understand that a lot of people here have been teased too often and want solid reassurance that this phone will come out. And when. And where. And for how much.... You have swept in to this forum and raised hopes to the point that a lot of people will surely reach for Prozac if it does not come out Sunday. All this without sharing ANY personal info about ...

Yeah, let's not take out our frustration on JOSEPH. I mean, I'm pretty useless about information and I promote the use of emoticons. So, let's remember that we should direct our swearing and name calling for the STUFFED SHIRTS who are in charge of NOT releasing the N75 for soooo long!   Peace! Love! and Nokia!!

I have participated in fighting for lost causes before, and although gathering signatures usually does not "Save The Whales", it does let people know how many people have an interest in the cause. SO, I propose that you add on to this thread if you truly support the release of the Nokia N75 SOON! Nothing too complex. Just a Happy Face would do the trick. :) C'Mon, People! SAVE THE N75!!!!

Well, if Nokia and AT&T/Cingy are trying to gauge interest by poking and prodding on phonescoop, they should also know that this is only 1% or less of the potential market. For every one of us geek enough to come here and make comment, there are 20 more lurking. And for every 1 lurker, there are 150 more geeks who don't have time to lurk. (those are the ones who have jobs in IT) Anyway, somehow I doubt ...

Hmmm. And this vice president of Cingular/AT&T would jeopardize his position by selling a phone which has not been released yet? Was this fine representative of Cingular/AT&T wearing green? Was he short? Did he walk with a short gnarled stick? Was he, in fact, a LEPRECHUAN? You know, coming from someone who mysteriously appears on this website and the very first post is this... I got one call to make on my old worn out POC ...

Oh! I am with you on that feeling! Just the other day I had a fortune cookie that read "You will have good luck in personal affairs"! You see? Don't you? I mean, how much more personal can you GET than a CELL PHONE?! IT'S A SIIIIGGNN, PEOPLE!!! IT IS COMING SOON!!!! Okay.... I just thought, maybe...some humor would be....okay, right.. now? (Gawd, Cingy. Just let us have the dang toy now, puleaze?)

YOU TELL 'EM, NokiaGoth!!! I think we all should just SHUT UP for a while and sit back until someone in Cingy...er, AT&T or at Nokia finally gets off their collective arses and lets the grand paying public have the product! NamoAmidaButsu

Okay, stop the rumor mill. If you go to the source, it says yes, there is Voice Dialing (with SIND) and voice commands. And, as for the memory card: Micro-SD memory card support (hot swappable, up to 2GB) (I should hope so. I have already picked a 2GB card up. Ever the optimist, I.) Now, if I only had the phone to plug the memory card into! BTW, I heard a rumor that Cingu.. er, I mean AT&T ...

Re: Delay due to NFC?
Mar 5, 2007, 11:58 PM

Well, straws we are all grasping for, Honzik. There is no good reason that a company would announce plans then do the apparent dance that Cingy/Nokia are doing. It happened before with the 6126. On again, off again, then on again. Re-branding? Adding an NFC chip? Reworking the software again? Might as well be delayed due to a plot set in motion by Samsung and T-Mobile! And don't forget the Triads out ...

Correct me if I'm wrong (as I often am...) but doesn't NFC require additional hardware? It seems unlikely that at this late stage in the game they would change a phone so drastically, requiring phones to be basically remanufactured when they were that close to being released. My fairly reliable source at the local Cingy store tells me only that the N75 is delayed for some software issue until May.

Re: Nokia website N75 or N76

Honestly? Whichever one gets released first! 8O But seriously, at this point I will need to pick one up and hold it in my hands first B4 I consider buying it. I think the N75's styling is more to my liking as the N76 looks like it's trying to be a razr. But, if an N76 shows up in the US first..... I might bite.

Well, it started with the 6126. Then, when that fell thru with Cingy, I was left hangin'. (Yes, this is the guy who's wife got on here and prayed to the Cell God to release the N75 already....) Then, they announced the N75 and, well... yeah. I am kinda eager. I mean, can you blame me? But look at the bright side, Honey. All this time waiting for Cingy/Nokia to release a decent phone means ...

Oh God of Cell phone, please hear my added plea. Please put my husband out of his misery of waiting 18 months for this heralded nokia N75, so we can get back to a normal family life. Nothing but a N75 would dofor him. He saw the N70 series in Asia last summer and I had to use a shovel to scoop his jaw off the floor. He has been researching this phone forever...and nothing but the Nokia N75 ...

Well, I guess with the delays and lack of good news on the N75 we have come down to bickering over grammar. So sad... As for Nokia vs. others, I honestly have only owned Nokia, although I have been extensively shopping for more than 2 years now. I have bugged my friends until they let me play with their phones, from Moto to Samsung and others. One little thing that sets Nokia apart is a simple enough ...

My theory: Ask a sales person about a phone that is not yet available and they will tell you nothing (or worse, like the guy I talked to who tried to tell me that Nokia just won't w=sell an N Series in the US cuz it's too high-end) it's because if they don't sell you a phone RIGHT NOW they don't get the commission (or quota points or whatever...) from you. Any sales person wants to make a sale. ...
