iPhone 3G tethering w/laptop w/o Jailbreak

I browsed a couple of pages here and didn't see a thread with this title. So is it possible to tether the iPhone 3G with a laptop to use for Internetz access? I've googled this query and everything points to having to Jailbreak the phone. So is there a way to do it w/o Jailbraking?

Thinking of selling my BJ and getting one of these. Can anyone let me know if it has a 2.5 MM, 3.5 MM, or proprietary port for earphones or speakers?

So while docking my boat I slipped and ended up in the water. My SE w810 was the only thing in my pocket at the time. I pulled it out of the water as fast as possible and the display looked OK still. By the time the boat was on the trailer it was dead. Now I know that water damage pretty much means the end of life for a cellphone but I removed the battery, SIM, and memory card ...

i'm not sure about how the Urge service works, is this the one built into WMP 11? anyway- if it's like itunes or many other services that might not sync directly to the phone. just burn the songs to a cd, rip them back to your HDD, and then transfer them via the memory card or phones software. there are a lot of threads under this phone that describe the same process if you have any other questions. hope that helps.

i got mine a week ago and it was on the website the day i got it, then taken off the website a few days later. i'd been researching it for a few months and it had only been on cingulars site for a short time.

personally, i don't have a problem with the talk volume. the ring volume and the volume of music through the headphones could be better, but it isn't so bad I can't hear it. i too read about the volume problems and it was one of the only things holding me back from getting this phone earlier than i did. but i have no regrets... :)
