Unlocking Nokia 3390b....
Jan 17, 2007, 12:46 PM
in the Shop Talk forum

I just recently unlocked my old Nokia 3390b. I have a spare line with cingular that I would like to utilize, but once I insert the SIM card and power on the phone, it asks for a security code. I have no idea what it is. I have not even used this phone for like 3 years. Any tips on how I can resolve this issue? :)

So, from what I gather from this artical and the other artical from the CES 2007, there will be a GSM model sold by cingular and a CDMA model sold by Sprint, correct?

A customer just asked me what would be a good color for a Snoop Dawg phone? What the hell??

Hahaha. I know exactly where you are coming from. I get stupid customers like that all the time.

I love it when a customer asks if they can get like 5 of the most expensive phones that you offer, then when you tell them that they can't they say, "Well, I guess I am going to cancel my account and take my business to another carrier." We have 54 million customers. Do they really think that I give a damn about their little family plan. I am not going to giv eout free phones to anyone.

I just got another great question. The customer said "Do you offer the Chocolate in a flat black color, because I am goth, and I believe the glossy black color would interfere with my Gothness?"

The question that I hate the most is "Which phone has the loudest ringer?" "What ringtones come on the phone?" and my all-time favorite, "Can I finance this phone or do I have to pay for the phone up front?"

I am actually chatting with a customer now who is complaining about having to pay an ETF of $175 per line to cancel his contract, cause I guess I pissed him off. He says he was not informed of the ETF when he established service so he shouldn't have to pay it. I told him it was in the contract that he signed. He said, "You didn't really expect me to read that thing did you?" ...

I am a Verizon Wireless employee and all of my customers claim to be having the same problems with this phone and the Chocolate. It seems that the touch-sensitive external music keys are becoming useless after a couple of months of use. I have not yet heard this Problem with the KRZR but I am sure it is only a matter of time. If anyone else is experiencing this problem, please let me know.

Ultra Music phone!

I am so excited to see something so unique and innovative like the new Samsung Ultra Music Phone. Although I am a little concerned with the issues that will occur with this phone, I am still glad to finally see a phone that strays away from the bland designs that are over saturation the market. Props to Samsung! :D

What is the difference

in the Motorola RAZR V3xx forum

I am not going to lie. This is a very attractive phone. But besides the appearance, what is the difference between this phone and the RAZR V3m that is offered by Verizon Wireless? They both have a mega-pixel camera, removable memory, and the ability to play music. Granted, this phone can play MP3 and ACC files, and the V3m plays only WMA files, but is that really a big deal? I guess I am ...

That should not be the case. The software that is included in the Music Essentials Kit is brand specific. Since they are both LG phones then the software and the drivers would be the same. If the cables are also the same then there should be no problem.

I am very intrigued by Nextel and have considered getting service with them a few times now, but I can not force myself to carry around a big ugly phone. These phones make me want to throw up. I can understand that Nextel provides good service, but I guess I am just too shallow for their phones. I mean come on. At least make it bluetooth so I can hide it in my pocket!

I actually work for Verizon Wireless and I have to tell you, if you are using the Music Essentials kit to transfer music from your computer to your phone, do not upgrade to Windows Media Player 11. Our phones do not yet support that. If you still have the Software that same with the Music Essentials Kit, just reinstall that and it will install WMP 10 and you will have to use that to transfer your music. ...

That is not necessarily true. They have come out with some decent phones. They may be the ugliest things on the face of the earth, but they perform well. This may not be one of the best phones that they have made, but the XV6700 is quite a competitor in the smartphone market.

Apparently you did not understand my question. I am not questioning the quality of this phone in any way. This is a great phone. My question was, besides the camera resolution and the battery life and the support of mp3 files, what makes this phone different from the original LG VX9800 "The V"?

Moped

in the Sanyo M1 forum

I am very impressed with the features that this phone offers, but I am not a fan of its design. This phone is function, not form. It seems to me like another ugly RAZR clone with better features. This is just like a moped. Fun to use until your friends see you using it.

I am extremely impressed with not only this phone, but with Helio as well. They have done very well for a new phone company in a very competitive market. I am a big fan of Samsung phones and this phone seems to suit all of my needs. I love the innovative phones that Helio offers and I think that this phone is a perfect addition to their line-up.

Is there any chance that Palm will come out with a windows version of this phone like they did with the 700? I really like the overall appearance of this phone, but I am not a fan of the Palm operating system. It does not meet my multi-media needs. Any information is appreciated.

I am a huge fan of samsung phones. I have always owned samsung phones. But I hate the motorola Q. What makes this phone any different from the Q. From the information that I have and the information on the site, there seems to be no obvious differences. Am I missing something or is this just another clone?

Although I would never use this phone because it looks like a toilet, I am interested in knowing if it will be sold by any US carrier, and if so, when? Looking at the photos it shows this phone with three large buttons on the keypad rather than a number keypad. My eyesight is not so good, so I can not see what they say, but seeing as this phone is CDMA and it has a three ...

Cheap Knock-off

Just viewing this phone makes me extremely worried. For some reason this seems like nothing but a cheap knock-off of the Motorola PEBL. I feel like this may be the next RAZR. Every manufacture that I can think of has made some kind of RAZR clone and I feel like the PEBL will be the next phone to be cloned by every other manufacture. What ever happened to creativity and innovation? Apparently it no ...

This is quite possibly the most anticipated phone release of the year. I work for Verizon Wireless and I was asked about this phone before I even knew it was coming out and have continued to be asked about this phone until it was released. I myself was very anxious to see the phone and play with it. I was a big fan of the V and expected the enV to have a lot more features. ...
