LG-295 (has problems)

He Dog Daddy, I came over her for help from the ATT wireless forums. Surprise to see you here. You must not have not had your LG-295 for 60 days when you wrote this. You were right about the phone. It only took me 1 week to find out I don't like it, but I can't trade it in or buy something better without a 2 year contract. Have you found any tricks that make it work better? ...

They have already raised prices significantly. See my post on their breaking their contract with me and doubling $$$'s what I will have to pay now. (see my post in ATT general forums Write to your representatives, FCC, and juticial committee in charge of this merger decision and let them know why they shouldn't let it happen.

ATT is breaking my contract and there's nothing I can do about it? Is this fair ?

I'm an ATT Blue customer for the past 7 years. I did my 2 yr requirement, then went on a month to month basis. I've been paying $43 including taxes for 2 phones with 1000 minutes. Now ATT is closing down the system that my phone runs off of by saying my phone won't work on their new system (3G). Well that's a lie because I loaned my phone to my graddaughter to use temporarily when her's broke and she ...

To clarify. I don't ask them to match my plan. Those kids in the malls trying to sell cell service always are after a customer. I tell them they "can't" match my plan and whenI tell them what I've got they often say "can I have your phone & plan". I'm quite satisfied with my plan. I use it for phone service, not games, apps, etc. So I'll stay with it until FCC side with ...

I'm one of your Ancient's. I stay with my plan because no one has such a good deal. $45 a month including all taxes, etc for 2 lines, 1000 minutes per month, MtoM which works as 80% of my calls are to same company users. I quite often get cell phone sales people wanting my plan. If the cell phone companies made the pricing more friendly we would upgrade. Why would I turn in a $45 plan for ...

Phone Connection/Receiption Strength
Jan 3, 2011, 1:43 AM

How can I verify which service has the best connection in my area. I've had the same comany for 6+ years with lousy connection. I have to go outside, rain or shine in order to make a call from my house. I want to give up my landline and just go wireless but with poor reception it would be a nightmare. Thanks in advance for the input and help ! Happy New year !

Thank You for your help & advice. I pay $43.00 per month total for 1000 minutes, free M-M and Nights and Weekends, and have a 2nd phone number (before they put a name on it,family plans). I'm considered an AT&T Blue customer. I keep my eye on their plans just in case they have something as good. I'm not a text-er or sending photos etc. I tell the Grandkids, no text, no photos. So we just use the ...

Need help with purchase of unlocked phone please
Jan 31, 2010, 7:01 PM
in the AT&T forum

I've been ATT since 2004 so I'm considered an ATT Blue customer. My plan is too good to give up. I need to get a new phone. Anyone know anything about these two phones. 1] The Voyager and 2] T3232. They are from China manufacturers. I came across then when searching the web. Says it works with GSM networks. Any help is appreciated.

Need Help from in-house ATT Rep....regarding Ltr I received from ATT
Jan 1, 2009, 12:18 AM
in the AT&T forum

I received a "Service Gram" from ATT saying a couple of discounts I've been receiving may no longer be available, along with general info. It gave me a code to give to the ATT rep to find out what this was all about when I called. "SE1CONVL1", but the rep that I spoke to didn't have a clue what it meant. She even put me on hold to check it out and came back that someone ...

Yean, I am suppose to have an Unlocked phone. At least that's what I thought I bought. How can I tell if it is actually unlocked ? Also, how can one "Unbrand" a phone and get it back to the original state before a cell company changed anything ? It was a Sum Com before I got it. Thanks !

It's Unlocked, but I'm not sure if it's Unbranded. How would I tell? It shows ATT on the opening screen but in the menu area under web, it shows a Sun Com. So I assume it was a Sun Com branded phone before I bought it. I was able to download an MP3 file of his College Fight song, but not as good as the one on the AT&T Media Site.....Thanks !

What is a correct ringtone format ? I was able to transfer an MP3 tune to the phone and it's working as a ringtone. AT&T says it's cuz it's not one of their's. It's not on their drop down list when you go to do the download. Tried to find it elsewhere but not as good as the one on the AT&T site.

I wanted to download a ringtone off the AT&T site but the phone I have isn't on their list so I was told I coudln't do it. Anyway around this? I thought a ringtone was good on any phone. Why so proprietary?

The same thing Verizon is doing with Altell. Choose one, GSM or CDMA? I would think Verizon might go the GSM route since it is the more used worldwide.

No, not rude. Just an explanation. I understand wanting to make money but when I could do the same thing as a new customer and just get a line, no contract, it's really a money issue and not a customer service issue. But that's the way big companies work. For me, writing my letter to the President with a .CC to the FCC will just make me feel better and hopefully they won't to the same ...

No Ralph, I didn't order a "phone", I ordered a "Phone line". I purchased my own phone off e-bay, Unlocked. So I was told since I wasn't buying a phone from AT&T I could just add the line and they would send out the Sim Card, free, and activate it when I called back. NOT! So as far as I'm conerned the agent as the supposed Premier Order Desk didn't know what she was doing. I ...

They don't send those notices when you receive you bill by e-mail. I just look at the amount due and when it's the same as last month I know all is well.

So what I hear you saying is the Blue & Orange Sim Cards will work technically on their phone lines ? They just want every to eventually upgrade to the higher prices and make more profit ?

Wasn't trying to impress then just inform them. The carrier has the name AT&T but they are really the old Cingular. So nothing is really new with the carrier in service, etc. Just a new name. Right ?

None, I'm just a retire old fart that lives on a locked income so I have to watch my pennies. AT&T doesn't mind taking them at any cost to the customer. I like to keep in touch with my grand children. They're teaching me how to txt msg.

Re: Premier policy Change

That's my point about AT&T rep's. The right and doesn't know what the left handit doing. The Premier site is for people who companies have a contract with AT&T to offer employees and retirees discounts. It isn't exactly the Premier site but more likely the benefits/xxxcompany name site which show what you get. i.e., American Airlines doesn't get the same pricing as say Dell Computers. I would call the Premier or NBO desk and ask why you can ...

Is it possible for a legacy plan person to add a 3rd line to the existing plan that already has 2 lines of service without changing my cost, except the charge for additional ine, or recontracting. I would be using my own unlocked phone.

For unlocked phones, do it the easy way. Just pay $10 to your local cell phone repair store and it's done. No have to be hazzled by a cellphone carriers rep. After reading a lot of these different posting on the AT&T Forum, they just want to make their commissions $$$

What offerings? My price is $42 on old at&t blue, if I got the same plan features on AT&T orange, it would be $80-$90. Why would I want to change?

I was told the same thing when they offered me my 3rd line on a NEW plan. Said I "had to sign a 2 year contract". No Thanks ! And if you have the same problem I did once you place the order and they accept it they may come back and say NO you can do it without a contract even though the AT&T rep put it through. Yes, I bought a new phone on my own, works find. I pay $42 a month for 2 lines with 1000 minutes. To get a new plan with 3 lines and 1000 minutes would cost $80 +. Why would I want to do that when we don't really need 3 lines, just nice to have. Since I get lousy receiption but have stuck it out because of the price I'm paying, if I did re-sign for ...

AT&T Never Bought Back Cingular....So It's Really Cingular using AT&T Name
Jun 18, 2008, 9:24 PM
in the AT&T forum

I just learned something about AT&T. Maybe a lot of you know this. AT&T is really the old Cingular, they're just using the AT&T name, and giving AT&T a bad reputation. I had a big problem where the AT&T/Cingular Premier Desk said I could add a 3rd phone line to my plan without having to change. They took the order, gave me a confirmation order number and sent me the Sim card. Once I got the Sim card I was ...

Thank You for the info. Is AT&T going to stay Orange? I thought that was a leftover of Cingular. Did they have a better system? I would have thought AT&T would have brought the Cingular people back to their ATT system. So, are you saying that AT&T are running two seperate companies ? I stayed AT&T when it was Cingular. I was known as a Cingular Blue customer. With the purchase back I thought ...

No, someone had said T-Mobile was using Sattelites. I believed them and the tower that was going in by us is not there. So assumed it to be true.
