She lowered her plan over the phone and has a Vibrant. She is eligible for an upgrade but is not interested in staying with TMO. I'm thinking it might be best to wait until after the holiday season to start making the calls.

Contract extension without new phone?

Does T-Mobile add two years from the date of a plan change without any new subsidized equipment? This appears to have happened to my girlfriend. Is there anyway to contest this months later?

KriisCDW said: Hell... you could listen to the radio without a cell phone being active. 911 available for free. Or out of cell-tower range. or in range of 1x/edge. I loathe the NAB and RIAA, and I'm not fond of this bill. I agree, I have no use for a radio on my cell phone, and would prefer it if terrestrial radio and the traditional models of entertainment extinct and evaporate. However, the fact that as long as I have a ...

I've had it for about 6 weeks and what's great about this phone is that I keep finding new things that it can do! First of all, if you haven't already done so, reboot the phone. I found when I first got it that it would be quirky at moments. I was reminded that it's basically a PC, and that it needs to be restarted every once in a while. Anytime something quirky starts happening, ...

I just called CS and dropped data from my BB curve. They turned it off and told me that I had a full data block. I can use txt but no picture messages and no pay per use data. Not one question or objection came from the rep; it was a smooth conversation and I give commendations to the rep for handling it quickly and efficiently. I'm out of contract and this is my work phone. ...

Everyone should read all three letters and understand that what happens out of this from these three companies will shape what happens down the line for years to come. Many possibilities can result and I'm not about to speculate about those. But understand that this could end up being a ...

I have not yet read that CR review but here is what I've got for you. Bring your own equipment and sign a 1 year with VZW with a NEW line. ESN change on your existing line with new equipment purchased on a secondary market requires no contract. Change your plan, features, phone no new contracts.

Has anyone ever seen a customer use this on a PDA/ Blackberry without teathering? I couldn't imagine that this is likely. Has anyone seen one with teathering? I remember a long time ago hearing about customers being turned off for exceeding the allotment with an aircard, but since VZW started 'limiting the throughput speeds' I haven't heard of any actual stories of customers being affected since the policy changed. Any stories to share?

For any PDA/Smartphone/Blackberry there is a $100 instant discount when you select or migrate to a voice AND data plan. It is referred to as an 'online discount' to give the perception that you will be getting a better deal online that retail but its the same. Other channels its refereed to as the 'Advanced Device Credit.' If you already have a voice and data plan you technically are not eligible for it (BS). Also ...

Somehow you either use very little data with your current provider or roam in Canada and are billed from your current provider and you are interesting in switching carriers. I'm not sure on what models, but there are software updates which allow AAC format to be transfered onto the handsets. With a VCast handset you have to use the Music Essentials kit. When you connect the handset with the software it will take an Unprotected AAC song and convert it (either MP3 or WMA, not sure which format it actually converts to) so that it can be played. I'm sure it's similar with the new ...
