data cable for sure is the best way. most all cards are made by the same company anyways and then branded differently by the company that sells them so it shouldn't make a difference. no moving parts so there is nothing to be manufactured cheaply that could possibly break

i think it has less to do with greed and more to do with the American vs. Canadian business models.

says me Rich. i don't work for Cricket but a company similar to it, and Kyocera hasn't let us down with their reputation for garbage handsets with this doozy. sure it's cheap and affordable but the overall cost of replacing it several times, becoming frustrated, and finally purchasing a different handset isn't worth it. it has an original look and textured feel but i'd rather have the insides of the phone be what Kyocera updates, not the appearance.

Re: How does Sprint not have the most coverage????

in the Rumor Mill forum

Seriously, Sprint??? the GSM thing is already covered so i don't have to correct that even though that fact alone cuts down your argument about coverage everywhere. the phones are garbage, the bills are always screwed up, and are you sure about roaming on VZW? b/c that doesn't sound right. nobody has roaming charges anymore. does Sprint work in Europe or Africa? Cingular and T-Mobile does. Sprint is for people who can't pass a VZW credit check and don't ...

i am traveling to Canada for a month and i have no desire to pay the outrageous per minute rate that cingular wants to charge me as well as the $.50 per txt msg. i can't live without a phone or text messaging back to my friends in the states, any ideas? i have 2 phones, cingular and a regional CDMA carrier. could i bring the CDMA phone up there and activate it for a month on a prepay ...

EVERYTHING causes cancer so while your on this planet you might as well enjoy the things you like and not spend time fretting over what company, Verizon or Cingular, will cause you the most cancer. It's like the smoker who thinks he is doing his lungs justice by smoking "light" cigarettes!

i'm so sorry...i didn't realize this was old news not worth asking a question about. you seem offended and i apologize. i do however find it odd you took the time to reply to such old news. do you often spend your time scouring this site searching for questions you don't find worthy? you're better than me, i understand that now. just for future reference, comparing a Motorola product to a Nokia product is like comparing a used Dodge ...

 i appreciate your laughter in my general direction Rich but the reason i mentioned the antenna hypothesis is b/c i work for a CDMA carrier and we carry a 2125i that gets poor reception and my current boss came from VZW and he claims the Nokia's they carried also received poor reception. i'm new to this industry and it seemed to make sense to me...but what do i know?

No more CDMA
Nov 10, 2006, 4:40 PM
in the Nokia 6275i forum

I heard that Nokia is pulling out of the CDMA market to focus exclusively on GSM phones. Any truth to this? the reason being the internal antennas don't get as good of reception with CDMA as they do on GSM networks. Also, i read somewhere on the web that something like 82% of the worlds population is GSM so the CDMA market isn't profitable enough to continue making handsets for.

the new flip with the casio watch on the outside from VZW is actually pretty nice. good camera and super durable. the guy at the VZW kiosk at the mall i work at has been throwing it in the air and letting it drop...nothing has broke yet.

AWS causing mergers?
Oct 16, 2006, 10:05 AM
in the Article: A Visual Guide to AWS forum

Any word or thoughts on a possible merger btwn Cricket and MetroPCS? they offer the same type of service and i think they are affiliated in some way. if they merged they might be able to offer some better competition to the already established "big boys."
