Re: Now that there is WiMax in BAL MD. When will it be useable to more than just PC's?
Hello, I am also in Baltimore! We should talk about WiMAX in Starbucks!!
Re: If AT&T wants a single platform,
Exactly. If you only look at it as a way to reduce overhead by requiring less training for the staff, then yeah, it's a good idea. But if you want a PDA with AT&T and you want Windows Mobile, you are screwed.
Is AT&T ****ing insane?
I'm speechless. One thing for sure is that if I was even considering AT&T before, I'm sure as hell never getting their service now, even if they decide not to do this, they are stupid to even think they can/should.
Seriously.. get rid of all other PDA platforms and rebrand Symbian to AT&T PDA OS? WOW. 8O

What are you talking about? /;|

so you can embarrass yourself by showing pictues, video and music to your friend with that 640x360 resolutions? your friends will laugh at you with their Sony X1 showing stuffs at 800x480!, that' like Hi-Def compares to this nokia junk!
Um, just because the display is 640x360 px doesn't mean all the content is. You can fit some pretty large videos onto that 32 GB of space.
Re: So PCD is made by HTC? Does that mean "Pathetic Crappy Devices" are "Heavy Taiwanese Crap?"

Amirite? :-)...
Yeah. HTC blows.
Badass
I like it. :)
Why?
Is Palm bored? Why would they take it off?
Looks uglier than the Q9
The original Q was good looking and it all went downhill.
Re: well
And what exactly are you talking about? /;|
Kinda steep...
$130 for this crappy Motorola? I would put this around $70 at the most.
Re: Look at this way.... (True)
Not always. Unless you totally botch it and it doesn't boot up at all, the phone store employee isn't going to go and check your ROM version to make sure you're running stock. Hell, I've even seen people with devices that came with WM5 (like the 6700) upgraded to WM6 using a custom ROM and the warranty folks didn't pay attention.
Re: Very Cool...
The software is very nice, stylish, and about a billion times better than a stupid iPod's.
The hardware is a little blah, though. I like the original design best, even though it was quite a brick.

Re: ...how many years late?
The difference is Windows Mobile doesn't suck ass like the iPhone.
Re: Look at this way.... (True)
Solution is simple: flash to a custom ROM from XDA Developers. It's like buying a new PC and reinstalling Windows to remove the bloatware from HP, Dell, etc.
Re: Install applications *not* through t-mobile app store?
Any self-respecting developer wouldn't deal with lame-ass Apple and their stupid App Store.
So who else is in Baltimore besides me?
And how does one take advantage of this?
Re: wow! that was long...
You don't NEED the AT&T Official ROM for an AT&T Tilt. You can just as easily flash to a custom or HTC ROM and get Windows Mobile 6.1
Re: Windows 6.1
And so what are you asking? /;|
Re: Hybrid?...

maybe this should be called the samsung Motoberry.
That was really clever, thank you.
So pointless
I hope this is not an accurate representation of BlackBerry apps as a whole. That would be almost as pathetic as the iPhone offerings from App Store.
Sharper Image Smartphone
That thing looks a lot like a smartphone I saw in Sears made by Sharper Image..
Seriously. /;|
Re: This is going to fail
Yeah, Virgin and Boost are doing well, but they aren't the purpose MVNO types.
Like this one is JUST for health stuff. Amp'd was JUST for high end users who like TV and crap. Sonopia too.
This is going to fail
When will they learn? Purpose built MVNOs always fail.
Re: Works Great but I run out of memory Quickly?
I get the "Out of memory" thing too. I am using a Samsung i730 running Windows Mobile 5.
But I have to say, for a first beta release, it is very nice. The high memory usage compared to 8.5 and a bug with clicking links are the only issues I have seen.
Re: 800p?
The Centro is essentially the Palm OS version of this phone.
Re: windows vista mobile
Maybe he means using WisBar Advance and Desktop to create a Vista interface... It's pretty popular
Re: Looking for cdma and 850gsm phone
The Samsung i830 if you want a PDA.
The Motorola Z6c if you don't need a PDA.
I want to switch from Windows Mobile
I currently have a Samsung i730 running WM5 that really pisses me off. Constant lock ups and corruptions. Since I have a Mac anyway, I figured I should look at the iPhone and with iPhone 2.0 software, I have to say I'm impressed. However, does anybody know know if/when the iPhone will get the following things:
-copy/paste
-FULL MS Office (like on my Windows Mobile phone)
-a file brower
Re: Q's, Palm, HTC, Android, Iphone
If you do not want to use the Touch's onscreen keyboard, then why do you want to use the iPhone's? :)
What is Cal-Comp?
I have never heard of them...
Re: Upgrading: WIFI Phone Without Data Plan?
It means you won't get the "Advanced Device" discount, which is a mail in rebate, usually $50 or $100.
Re: Can you get an IRC client on the Voyager?
There is no way to get apps for the Voyager other than the Get It Now store.
Re: Blackberry plans...what when where why and how???
How is the Voyager's browser? I tried it one time and didn't like it. Windows Mobile is a lot better for web browsing.
Re: I must come clean before I leave
I do not believe you are cwcanty.
Sweet Smartphone deal
Anybody else notice the PN-820 is free online? Pretty sweet deal for anyone who needs Windows Mobile but doesn't want to spend barely any money. :)
Re: Activating a non-vzw handset (? for corp store reps)
At the press conference for Any Device, they said anything compatible with the network would work. So as long as it has either CDMA 850 or 1900, then you're good. But you'd probably have to mail it away for 3 weeks so they can test it.
Re: Activating a non-vzw handset (? for corp store reps)
As long as it has CDMA 850 and/or 1900...
Re: First leaked pic of LG vx700-PRADA
I hate the i760. Cheap screen, poor keyboard layout, ugly look...
i730 is way better.
