Re: battery life while playing mp3s?
Yeah, it seems that I need to charge every 3 days, sooner if I play music a lot, but it's pretty good considering I use this as my only phone (no land line).
Re: battery life while playing mp3s?
Hmm...6 hours? Well, here's how long mine lasted:
FM transmitter - 2 hours in car to destination
3 days two nights at destination (no cell service, but left phone on)
2 hours back home with FM transmitter on.
I made a few calls on the way...could have made a few more...but yes, I needed to charge when I got home (1 bar left I think).
Overall, this is the BEST phone I have had in terms of battery life!

Re: Removing old files
Ridiculously easy! Thank you for solving my problem...and making me feel dumb! Tee hee! Thanks again.
Re: Removing old files
Just bumping this - does anyone have the answer?
Re: HELP ME DECIDE!!! A920 or LG Fusic!!!!
The thing that bugs me since I have switched over to Sprint is that it seems like every perk is an "upgrade" on your service plan. Text messages? 5 bucks a month. Picture messages? 5 bucks a month. Internet - if you want this you'd better pay their 25-30 buck "unlimited" charge because after I was told I have "free" internet for the first month, I got a bill that added $100! It turns ...
nevermind
I figured it out - I was just looking under "melodies" and not "my melodies." Duh..
Removing old files
Another question: suppose you send a ring tone to your phone and you don't want it or use it anymore. Is there a way to delete it so that unneccesary files don't bog down your phone? I can't figure out how to get rid of things once I have put them on the phone. Argh!
Re: Thanks!
Okay...I tried it, but after waiting a looooooong time for it to load, I couldn't apply the new tone to a specific contact. I only saw a way to make it a general ringer (under "caller ID"). Did you figure out how to do that?
reception
I could swear that when I first got this phone I had better reception than I do now. I get so many dropped calls - I even called customer service to ask if there was any update they could do (I used to get software updates wirelessly when I was with nextel).
Has anyone else noticed this?
Re: Thanks!
Thanks for the review - I still haven't gotten around to trying it myself!
P.S. Re: mp3's as ringers
Use that link above to see other ways to do this and people's comments on it.
mp3's as ringers
Prepare for a long one...

FINALLY! LG really could have made this easier, but you can still use just about whatever you want as a ringtone on your LG FUSIC phone. This took about an hour of fiddling to figure out how to make it work, but fortunately for you I wrote this guide so you can be using your very own mp3 as a ringtone in just a few minutes. Here's how it works:

Re: Transfer music from comp hard drive to media folder
So the music won't play at all? If I access the music through the tools menu with the phone open, the music stops when I close thw phone. Soooo, I access the music by keeping the phone closed, pressing and holding the center button twice (the first time to turn the key guard off if needed) and click the memory card icon. Then I see a list of songs. The music won't automatically play - ...
In other words, PUTTING MUSIC ON YOUR PHONE
I didn't mean this in a snotty way, but maybe the wording of my original post has been confusing people, so I added this one.
Re: ? downloading mp3s off PC?
Look under my other post about transferring files from your computer to your phone.
Re: How do you access the service menu on the Fusic?
Oh. There are some menus for bluetooth, but I couldn't find a way to change networks. I have had phones that had access to this type of feature, but this one doesn't seem to let you do that. Or at least, I haven't found a way to! Go to a retailer - they might know.
Re: How do you access the service menu on the Fusic?
menu, contacts, scroll down to services.
Has your phone locked up?
I had the music on and I was using the transmitter to listen in my car. A call came in, I talked for a bit, then all of a sudden, the call disconnected, and I couldn't exit or go back to the main screen. First the whole screen blinked yellow - like it was trying to shut down but couldn't, then I saw my music list flash, but nothing I pressed worked. Finally, I just took ...
Re: Weird Texting Problem / FM Transmitter Question
Get your music to play with the phone shut. Once it is playing, open the phone and you should see "options" on the right soft key (lower right side of screen). Click it and then scroll down until you see "music transmitter on". Click it - the music will go off, but now you need to tune your car stereo/home radio to the channel it is on.
If your stereo is on and you don't ...
Re: Help me put my music on my phone!
I put a step by step walktrough posted as "Transfer music from comp hard drive to media folder." It's a few threads below this one.
Re: Weird Texting Problem / FM Transmitter Question
Yes - those numbers or names that come up happen because the phone's "smart" feature kicks in - it thinks it sees a match so it automatically tries to finish the word for you. Just keep typing and it should go away.
Transfer music from comp hard drive to media folder
Holy crap. I can't beleieve how difficult it was to find what turned out to be a pretty simple answer to this:
This is for people who already have music saved to their computers and want to move it to the phone.
1. Connect your USB cable to the phone and computer.
2. Click "menu", "USB flash drive", "yes" (to "voice calls will be disabled during USB connection. Continue?")
3. Once your phone says that you are connected, go to your ...
