What's up my fellow scoopers??? I want to ask does anyone know if the iPhone 3.0 firmware or 3GS will finally have flash player support or some sort of equivalent???? I think it's crazy that the browser is limited.

What's up everybody?? I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just bought my girlfriend this phone and she loves it! There's just a small problem, everytime she's on the phone her earring or cheek hits the mute button and it's small but very annoying problem. Has anyone else expierenced this?? Is there anyway to lock the screen during a call or have it turn off during a call. Is there anyway to disable the touch function ...

Hey Larry7791, I actually found out when I went to sync my phone, it told me that an update was available. But usually ATT sends out a text or apple will post it on their website. I hope that answers ur question.

I too had the same concern when I brought the iPhone. I have the 450 rollover plan, 5000 N&W, and unlmtd M2M. I think it's for 39.99(ur plan sounds better)LOL They didn't make me change my plan, I just added the $30 unlimited data plan. Visual V-Mail is included in that data plan. I also added unlmtd text b/c I text my ass off. I think with everything my bill is $112. I won't know for sure until next ...

Pop up text message
How can I stop the text msg preview from popping up when I'm using my phone, I turned off the sms preview in the setting menu and that only stopped it from showing up when the phone is locked. Am I just stuck with this issue, or can something be done?? Thanks in advance.

WOW, it's that bad huh....???? LOL The only prob I have with the phone is the battery life. Other than that I don't have any other complaints. I've had it for 3 days now. Tell me your thoughts, y should I take it back??

Hey fellow scoopers, I have 2 questions, first is, what's a good ring tone program that I can use that will work with 2.1?? i followed some instructions that I found online, but I only got as far as making a ring tones folder in my itunes and on my iPhone. Is it as simple as changing the file name and click and drag or is there more?

I've read somewhere that there where some issue with the 3G chip drivers(the cause of the dropped calls) theres supposed to be a fix out there now, until they can correct the issue on the phones before they are distributed. This issue is supposed to be fixed within the next 2 - 3 months. Link to the story below.

Thanks, all of this could have been avoided. Ur response could have been to another question, thats what I was trying to figure out. Thanks again for your help........ Now to move the discussion along, I'm trying to figure out y the data plan is necessary. If noting is running in the background that would cause the phone to constantly access the data network, then what else could be the cause of the data plan being required?

-For starters to answer ur questuion of "what's makes us think other wise" is the fact that ATT requires it.

Well tell ATT that it's not required, b/c they make u add that to ur plan, if not I believe they charge extra. I'm still trying to figure out y is it required?

thanks to all of you for your replies, Does anyone know what is constantly running in the background that would cause the phone to access the data network??? The updates should be OTA or by USB connection. Any other ideas besides the updates.

LOL I uderstand. It's just that the phone comes with a built in wireless card, so one has the option to use that instead of the data plan. I'm the type of person that doen't like to be forced into one thing when there are other options. But all in all most likely when I get the phone I will get a data plan. Those pay per use/overage charges can be a bitch. Thanks for replying, if anyone else ...

I have a question, Why is the data plan required. The data plan isn't essential for the phone to dial out. Now I know you will need the data plan for e-mail, internet, maybe visual voice mail(I'm not sure). But my point is that a call can be made without it. (unless I'm wrong and the iPhone works differently) If anyone can go into further details as to why that would be greatly appreciated. Now don't get me wrong, ...

Unlocking iPhone
Hey guys, I was wondering if I could use my hong kong sim card on an unlocked iPhone. I have an iPhone that is already unlocked, and when I put my HK sim in it didn't work, it asked for some sort of network key, that I don't have or know how to get. I read about different programs and things like that, but my phone is unlocked already, so do I still need those? Can anyone help??

It shouldn't, wifi is seperate from using the edge network for data transfer. Think of it as using a laptop to connect to the internet wirelessly when you use the wifi on this phone.
