Re: do you get charged....... * please help ?
Messages to international numbers from the US are $0.15 each. That's from the T-Mobile website. Incoming messages are free, since the Sidekick plan includes unlimited text messaging. I know from personal use that to Mexico they're 15 cents, so I assume that means T-Mobile considers Mexico and Canada the same. Hope that helps.

I forgot to mention this, but I really mean it in the nicest way possible. When you get to college, take a sociology class -- specifically one that explains social stratification and class structures. You won't be so amazed after that class that someone born into a ...
Re: Question about the 'real interent web browser'
The browser should support most sites, but the way they work is limited. The reformatting to fit the screen is usually done pretty well, and the speed is MUCH faster than before. It searches for almost as long as the SKII, but it loads super fast. There is no agreement necessary between sites and Danger (whose servers do all the reformatting work); as long as the site's features are supported by the SK3, they will work. ...
Re: Meow9112345,
Wow. I guess I hit a nerve. Are you friends with Paris personally? I don't mean to hurt your feelings. I never said she was stupid, I said she was shallow (no recorded history of DEEP thought, like, the opposite of shallow). And, I said no RECORDED history -- no proof. We have proof on video that she likes to record herself in bed (famous sex tapes that started her rise to such ...
Re: i can't find any stores around here with the sk3
WOW 14 - 20 days! I'm glad I ordered mine Tuesday night (after midnight EST). I felt a little silly and fanatical but it looks like my predicition that they would sell out fast was right. I just sold my MDA to a co-worker, so I'm happy all around. I hope you get yours. :-)
Re: does anyone actually have the sk3 yet???
I have mine. I like the trackball, but it takes a little getting used to. I like that related applications are grouped together in ways that make sense, like IMs together, and calendar, notepad, and tasks together. I like the ingenious design that keeps the keyboard almost the same (it feels slightly smaller and the buttons are smaller but overall barely noticeable) and yet makes the phone smaller/thinner and more comfortable as a phone. They ...
Re: i can't find any stores around here with the sk3
I ordered mine late Tuesday night (10:30 AZ time which is after midnight on the 28th, east coast time). I thought with all the hype they might go on back order so I wanted to get mine first thing and get rid of my stupid MDA. I already had a 2 year contract ending March 2008 and to extend it just three months I was able to get the discount of $100 off. Not bad. ...
Meow9112345,
Yes, I know Paris has one, and she didn't spend $400 for it, she got it for free. But the fact that she has one doesn't mean it's a good product -- or that it isn't -- it just means that she got a free phone (and who knows what other deal) to loan her "coolness" to the product so that people will go out and buy it and think they're cool like her. I'm suggesting we ...
Re: Sidekick 2.5
Sidekick123, please help me save the world by making your own decisions and not just doing whatever the famous people do -- unless they are fighting hunger or war or cancer, or something else worthwhile, that is. Get a Sidekick because YOU like it, not because Paris does.
Re: please help
See my comparison between the IPAQ, Blackberry, MDA, and SKII. It depends what you want. If you want a PDA type device that can do everything except clean your house, don't get it. If you want a fun device that has VERY good messaging and enough of the other stuff to keep you satisfied, get a SK3. The signal/service is ok -- not the very best, but by far not the worst. Also, it's ...
Re: Can you make your own ringtones for the SK3?
Nope, sorry. Hopefully they get some better ones.
Re: Sidekick 2.5
If people paid $300 for the last one, then TMo knows they'll pay $300 for this one. I did; the keyboard layout is the best there is, and the OS is simple and easy to understand. It does everythig I need (messaging) very well, and the other stuff is just fluff to me. The phone quality is acceptable, and now with bluetooth my main complaint is resolved. $300 is cheap compared to other devices with ...
Re: Sidekick 2.5
In my opinion, they changed what was absolutely necessary but intentionally kept it from competing with higher-priced phones that have everything. The have a good niche in the market with young people who probably aren't going to spend more than $300 for this device, and who are happy to have something new even if they aren't sure it's better. Not that I don't think it is better than before - I do -- but I think TMo ...
Sidekick over IPAQ, MDA, and Blackberry...Here's Why:
I'm not 16, I'm no Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan, and I'm certainly not a basketball star. I own my own business, and at the heart of my success in competition is communication. I MUST be able to send and receive email, text, and IMs instantly, reliably, and in a few seconds flat. No other device that I have tried comes even remotely close to the Sidekick's messaging abilities.
I admit that I have not stepped outside ...
