Couldn't help but notice one of the selling points on the Sammy website for their custom case with the flip cover is you don't have to worry about your face hitting any of the buttons on the screen? WTH? I thought this was a thing of the past? Or am I overreacting-lol?

And I'm amazed people actually carry around extra batteries-lol!!! You must do a boat-load of stuff on your phone to run the battery down like that, just saying.

Maps? Does it fix maps? har har; just kidding, my wife's 4S seems to run the update without any problems. Her imaps worked very well, none of the drama of others.....good thing too, she gets lost easily lol.

Poor Form
I don't care what anyone thinks, this last OS release from crApple was sloppy sloppy sloppy. Irregardless of the maps fiasco there were so many errors and problems it made a mockery of the whole 'it just works' mantra. Shameful..and yes, we have crApple in our house (lovely wife, what can I say lol). 'Da bean counters are slowly gaining control.
I still don't care...
I still don't like it. Strange size, odd shape, OS isn't really up to snuff anymore (by their own review I might add). To me it looks like something LG used to design. Just saying.

Yup. Looks a bit strange imo. Plus you can get the new OS on your old 4S so...wth, why spend the money? The wife has decided to wait, fine with me lol. I'm looking forward to the Note2 and HTC big dog coming soon, plus the Win8 phones are looking good.

Thanks for the link deepblue. I always thought this travesty of jurisprudence was perpetrated by a jury of nitwits; this certainly confirms it. Even a group of patent attorneys said it wasn't possible to even read and understand the judges instructions in two days, let alone reach a verdict. Smells like a home town ruling to me. Hopefully this all overturned by Sammy's appeals.

Mine's due now too. I'm going to wait for the holiday season, mostly 'cuz I think the selection at Big Red sucks right now; like the Rezound but wanted them to get the X. I'd like to see the Journal and some nice big Win8 phones. I like choices.

I agree old dog; the speed of the decision was breathtaking. I'm afraid crApple, emboldened by this decision will threaten all other makers unless they agree to remove certain phones from circulation. They'll feel they can do no wrong now; we're all doomed I tells 'ya.

Depends on how long you can wait. I'm due for an upgrade in Aug but...HTC is coming out with a big mutha later this year, 5incher, great specs, could be the new King of the Road, at least for a while lol. Personally I like the SIII but like you prefer HTC. Think I'll wait for the holiday season, should be a lot of good deals. Win8 will make an appearance by then as well. ...

Yeah, I don't think it has a name yet but I believe it just cleared the FCC. A big mutha, 5 incher and uses a pen. I was hoping to the the Journal but this sounds pretty damn good to me.

Looking pretty crappy imo. ATT gets the Note, then it gets upgraded, now it's getting 'refreshed' into a larger size; we get ummmm a new BB Curve, wth.
ATT gets the One X (many blogs are calling it the best Android so far this year), now their getting a succesor already, we get what, a 'refreshed' Incredible? Love my DINC1 but this just doesn't fly imo.
ATT gets Gawd knows how many Win phones; the Titan is already old ...

Malware question
So...I'm reading that article on Yahoo about Android bots and in the comments was some guy who mentions he gets spam from his own email address and I think wtf so do I occasionally. All my computers and tablets have AV installed and run routinely but my phone doesn't so I assume I've got some kind of infection. Any advice on what to use/do about this? Appreciate any advice.

Agree; BB is really big overseas, especially in Asia (they charge differently for air time making BB's especially coveted devices). They just need to re-establish themselves at home and here to stay afloat.

Yeah, that's my theory too. Since crApple won't be releasing their phone 'til late this year they don't want Sammy to steal a march on them. Plus their entry is going to be a let-down once again, small screen (sorry but 4 inches isn't going to cut it anymore) and it appears that all they have is that sorry hag named Siri.

hmmmm-not sure I agree with you on this point. Plastic is just fine as a material, cuts down considerably on the weight and provides greater impact resistance. I've worked for cell phone mfg's can tell you this should be a non issue. If you like something else that's fine but don't think plastic by itself is bad, it's not. Just saying.

Hey Jay, yeah I'm really looking forward to this bad boy; I'm really interested in the Journal but would find it hard to leave HTC. This opens-up a lot of possibilities, really want a bigger screen phone, my DINC1 is still sweet but sadly small. I figure this holiday season is going to be fun for people like me looking to upgrade.

'Ya, pretty sweet all right!! Apparently Google is trying to get them out late this year; these are going to revolutionize communications, not to mention daily living. If I remember correctly crApple is working on something similar; gotta go with Google imo. I couldn't stand all crApple all the time lol.

Have you tried looking on the HTC website? Very often they post dates for specific devices. Sadly my DINC1 is out of the picture; oh well, just means I get a new toy soon.
